Sharon Ellul-Bonici
Sharon Ellul-Bonici is a Maltese Eurosceptic politician. Sharon Ellul-Bonici has been a member of the soft eurosceptic Maltese Labour Party. She tried to obtain her party's endorsement as a candidate for the 2004 European Parliament election, but was turned down for her hard eurosceptic links. Ellul-Bonici was at the time active in pan-European organisations such as No2EU and TEAM. The party's vigilance board feared that – once elected – she could join Europe of Democracies and Diversities rather than the PES group. For the 2009 EU election she was fielded on the Labour Party list, but not elected to the European Parliament. Labour Party (Malta)
The Labour Party ( mt, Partit Laburista, PL), formerly known as the Malta Labour Party ( mt, Partit tal-Ħaddiema, MLP), is one of the two major political parties in Malta, along with the Nationalist Party. It sits on the centre-left of the political spectrum. The party was founded in 1920 as the Chamber of Labour by a small group of trade unionists. Its prominent member Paul Boffa served as the first Labour prime minister between 1947 and 1950. Ideologically, the party was orientated towards democratic socialism and other left-wing stances until the early 1990s, when it followed the lead of like-minded Western social-democratic parties like Britain's New Labour. European Alliance For Freedom
The European Alliance for Freedom (EAF) was a pan- European political party of right-wing Eurosceptics. It was founded in late 2010, the party was recognised by the European Parliament in 2011. It did not seek registration as a political party with the new ''Authority for European Political Parties and European Political Foundations'' in 2016 and was dissolved in the following. Unlike most other pan-European parties, the members of the Alliance were not national parties but individuals. The head office of the Alliance was in Brussels, Belgium, and its registered office was in Birkirkara, Malta. The UK Independence Party (UKIP; ) is a Eurosceptic, right-wing populist political party in the United Kingdom. The party reached its greatest level of success in the mid-2010s, when it gained two members of Parliament and was the largest party representing the UK in the European Parliament. The party is currently led by Neil Hamilton. UKIP originated as the Anti-Federalist League, a single-issue Eurosceptic party established in London by Alan Sked in 1991. Godfrey Bloom
Godfrey William Bloom TD (born 22 November 1949) is a British politician who served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Yorkshire and the Humber from 2004 to 2014. He was elected for the UK Independence Party in the European elections of 2004 and 2009, representing UKIP until September 2013, when UKIP withdrew the party whip from him. He then sat as an Independent until the end of his term of office in May 2014. Bloom subsequently resigned his UKIP party membership on 13 October 2014.
