Shane Dooley
Shane Dooley (born 26 September 1986) is an Irish hurler who currently plays as a right corner-forward for the Offaly senior team. Born in Tullamore, County Offaly, Dooley was born into a strong hurling family. His paternal and maternal granduncles as well as his grandfather enjoyed All-Ireland success with the Offaly junior team in 1923 and 1929. His father, Joe Dooley, and his uncles, Johnny and Billy Dooley, won seven All-Ireland medals between them between 1985 and 1998. Dooley first played competitive inter-county hurling and Gaelic football with Tullamore College. Here he won a Leinster Vocational Schools Junior B Championship medal and an All-Ireland Vocational Schools Championship medal. Dooley simultaneously came to prominence at juvenile and underage levels with the Tullamore club. 2007 National Hurling League
The 2007 National Hurling League was the 76th season of the National Hurling League, the top leagues for inter-county hurling teams, since its establishment in 1925. The fixtures were announced on 28 November 2006. The season began on 18 February 2007 and concluded on 29 April 2007. Division 1A Kilkenny came into the season as defending champions of the 2006 season. Dublin entered Division 1 as the promoted team. On 29 April 2007, Waterford won the title after a 0-20 to 0-18 win over Kilkenny. It was their first league title since 1963 and their second National League title overall. Antrim and Down were the first two teams to be relegated to Division 2 after finishing bottom of Divisions 1A and 1B respectively. David Kenny (born 1987) is an Irish hurler who plays for Offaly Senior Championship club Belmont. He is a former player and selector at inter-county level with the Offaly senior hurling team. Career Kenny made his first appearance for the team during the 2007 championship and has become a regular player over the last few seasons. During that time he has enjoyed little success, however, he has won a National League (Division 2) winners' medal and a Walsh Shield winners' medal. At club level Kenny plays with Belmont. Brian Carroll (born 13 June 1983) is an Irish hurler who played as a right corner-forward for the Offaly senior team. Born in Coolderry, County Offaly, Carroll was introduced to hurling by his father, Pat Carroll, a two-time All-Ireland medallist with Offaly. His grandfather, Jack Carroll, and his great-grandfather, "Red" Jack Teehan, also played hurling at various levels with Offaly. Carroll enjoyed All-Ireland success at colleges level with St. Kieran's College while simultaneously enjoying championship successes at underage levels with the Coolderry club. A one-time All-Ireland runner-up with the Coolderry senior team, Carroll has won one Leinster medal and five championship medals. The Christy Ring Cup () is an annual hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association. Originally introduced as a second-tier competition, it is currently the third tier overall in the inter-county hurling championship system. Each year, the champions of the Christy Ring Cup are promoted to the Joe McDonagh Cup, and the lowest finishing team is relegated to the Nicky Rackard Cup. Kildare are the 2022 title-holders.
