Shamir Bailey (born November 7, 1994) is an American singer and songwriter from Las Vegas, Nevada. His debut extended play (EP), '' Northtown'', was released in June 2014 to positive reviews. In October 2014, he signed to XL Recordings and released the single " On the Regular". His debut LP ''Ratchet'' was released on May 19, 2015 in the United States. Adi Shamir ( he, עדי שמיר; born July 6, 1952) is an Israeli cryptographer. He is a co-inventor of the Rivest–Shamir–Adleman (RSA) algorithm (along with Ron Rivest and Len Adleman), a co-inventor of the Feige–Fiat–Shamir identification scheme (along with Uriel Feige and Amos Fiat), one of the inventors of differential cryptanalysis and has made numerous contributions to the fields of cryptography and computer science. Dan Shamir ( he, דן שמיר; born 2 February 1975) is an Israeli professional basketball coach. He was most recently the head coach for the New Zealand Breakers of the Australian National Basketball League. In 2007 and 2008 he led Hapoel Jerusalem to consecutive Israeli State Cup titles, and in 2018 he led Hapoel Holon to the Israeli State Cup title. Gabriel Shamir (1909-1992) and Maxim Shamir (1910-1990) were Israeli graphic designers. They designed Israel's official state emblems, medals, stamps and currency notes. Biography Guttel (Gabriel) and Maxim Sheftelowitz (later Shamir) were born in Liepāja (Libau), Latvia. Both brothers studied graphics and design at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Berlin-Charlottenburg, Germany — Gabriel in 1926-30 and Maxim in 1928-33. Shamir's Secret Sharing
Shamir's Secret Sharing (SSS) is an efficient secret sharing algorithm for distributing private information (the "secret") in such a way that no individual holds intelligible information about the secret. To achieve this, the secret is converted into parts (the "shares") from which the secret can be reassembled when a sufficient number of shares are combined but not otherwise. SSS has the unusual property of information theoretic security, meaning an adversary without enough shares cannot reconstruct the secret even with infinite time and computing capacity. A standard SSS specification for cryptocurrency wallets has been widely implemented. King Solomon is said to have used it in the building of the First Temple in Jerusalem in the place of cutting tools.
