Shambhu Bhattacharya
Shambhu Bhattacharya (1935– 26 January 2018) was a Bengali actor and stage artist. Career Bhattacharya started his acting career in theatre in Kolkata. He worked in several stage productions of Utpal Dutt, Jahor Roy and Rabi Ghosh. He was a bodybuilder from Baghbazar Bayam Samity. Bhattacharya became popular mainly for his antagonistic role in Bengali films. His performance in ''Sagina Mahato'', ''Agnishwar'', ''Sanyasi Raja'', ''Amanush'', ''Marjina Abdulla'' and ''Charmurti'' were remembered by film critics. He died in a private nursing home on 26 January 2018 in Kolkata. Charmurti
''Charmurti'' (The Four Heroes) is a Bengali comedy adventure film directed by Umanath Bhattacharya based on a Tenida novel of Narayan Gangopadhyay in the same name. This movie was released in 1978 in the banner of ''Mokshada Films''. Plot After the examination ''Tenida'' decides to spend the holidays with his friends ''Kyabla'', ''Habul'', and ''Palaram''. Kyabla's uncle suggests them to go to his bungalow inside a dense forest area at Jhantipahari, a small village near Ramgarh. The place was considered to be haunted with unnatural incidents. The four go to Jhantipahar and face mystery created by few unknown persons. They decide to investigate and it is found that a group of criminal are running a business of counterfeiting fake notes near the haunted bungalow. ''Sagina Mahato'' is a 1970 Bengali film. Produced by Shri J. K. Kapur and directed by Tapan Sinha, the film stars Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu. The film is based on the true story of the labour movement of 1942–43, told through with fictional characters, and the mock trial of Sagina Mahato, the trade union leader of a factory in Siliguri. It was entered into the 7th Moscow International Film Festival. The film was shot on locations in Kurseong, near Darjeeling. A diamond-jubilee hit, it created box-office records in Bengal.
