Shamar Nicholson
Shamar Amaro Nicholson (born 16 March 1997) is a Jamaican professional footballer who plays as a forward for French club Clermont, on loan from Spartak Moscow, and the Jamaica national team. Club career Boys' Town Nicholson was developed in the Boys' Town youth system and made the transition to the first team in 2015–16. He had a trial with Real Salt Lake in 2015, but it was ultimately decided that he would stay with Boys' Town Nicholson played 75 matches for the team, scoring 28 goals. Domžale In September 2017, Nicholson signed with Domžale in Slovenia. He ultimately played 47 league matches and scored 18 goals. Charleroi Nicholson joined Belgian club Charleroi in August 2019, signing a four-year deal. Prior to his departure in 2021, Nicholson played more league games for Charleroi than for any other club in his career. He scored 30 goals in the competition. The 2017–18 Slovenian PrvaLiga (also known as the Prva liga Telekom Slovenije for sponsorship reasons) was the 27th edition of the Slovenian PrvaLiga since its establishment in 1991. 2016–17 National Premier League
The 2016–17 Red Stripe Premier League is the highest competitive football league in Jamaica. It is the 43rd edition of the competition. It started on September 4, 2016. For this season the teams qualifying for the playoffs were increased from four to six teams. Teams ranked from one to two would get a bye to the semi-final round and teams ranked 3 and 6 will play a two leg tie along with teams ranked 4 and 5 for the quarterfinal stage. The two legged tie still remains for the semi-final stage. The National Premier League, also known for sponsorship purposes as the Red Stripe Premier League, is sanctioned by the Jamaican Football Federation as the top division for men's association football in Jamaica. The Belgian Cup (french: link=no, Coupe de Belgique; nl, Beker van België []; german: link=no, Belgischer Fußballpokal) is the main Single-elimination tournament, knockout association football, football competition in Belgium, run by the Belgian Football Association, Royal Belgian FA.
