2016–17 National Premier League
The 2016–17 Red Stripe Premier League is the highest competitive football league in Jamaica. It is the 43rd edition of the competition. It started on September 4, 2016. For this season the teams qualifying for the playoffs were increased from four to six teams. Teams ranked from one to two would get a bye to the semi-final round and teams ranked 3 and 6 will play a two leg tie along with teams ranked 4 and 5 for the quarterfinal stage. The two legged tie still remains for the semi-final stage. National Premier League
The Jamaica Premier League (formerly the National Premier League), commonly abbreviated as JPL and officially known as the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is sanctioned by the Jamaican Football Federation as the top division for men's association football in Jamaica. Contested between 14 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the JFF Championship. Most games are played on Sunday afternoons and Monday evenings ''(Monday Night Football)''. Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex
Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex is a multi-sport facility in Kingston, Jamaica. The complex features a football stadium, futsal, basketball, netball, gym, VIP lounge and administrative offices. It is the home field of Arnett Gardens Football Club and has a capacity of 6,000+. The venue is named in honor of the late Jamaican attorney-at-law and politician Anthony Spaulding. The venue is regularly used to host televised double-headers in the Jamaica Premier League and Jamaica Women's Premier League. Montego Bay Sports Complex (sometimes referred to as Catherine Hall Sports Complex) is a multi-purpose sports stadium in the Catherine Hall area of the city of Montego Bay, Jamaica. It is also the home field for Montego Bay United F.C., Montego Bay United. The stadium capacity is 7,000. In April 2011 it hosted the 40th edition of the Carifta Games. In July 2014, it was announced as a host venue for the CONCACAF U-20 Championship. In October 2014, the venue was announced the host for the final round of the 2014 Caribbean Cup. Jamaica hosted the Under-20 Championship in January 2015, with the Montego Bay Stadium one of the two stadium used for the tournament. Anthony Patrick (1927 – 22 April 2010) was an Indian footballer who played for the India national team and represented Hyderabad City Police FC in domestic tournaments. Playing career He was selected to play for the national team at the 1954 Asian Games at Manila and also at the 1953 and 1954 editions of the Asian Quadrangular Football Tournament. In 1954 Asian Quadrangular Football Tournament, he scored a goal against Burma national football team at Eden Gardens. Rayon Johnson
Rayon, also called viscose and commercialised in some countries as sabra silk or cactus silk, is a semi-synthetic fiber made from natural sources of regenerated cellulose fiber, cellulose, such as wood and related agricultural products. It has the same molecular structure as cellulose. Many types and grades of viscose fibers and films exist. Some imitate the feel and texture of natural fibers such as silk, wool, cotton, and linen. The types that resemble silk are often called artificial silk. It can be woven or knit to make textiles for clothing and other purposes. Rayon production involves solubilizing cellulose to allow turning the fibers into required form.
