Karnal road and near the main campus of University of Delhi, in the North district of Delhi. The Shakti Nagar colony, spread on both sides of the Inder Chandra Shastri Marg, came into existence in 1950. Comprising close to dwelling units, the colony is split into 39 blocks and has about 22 parks including the famous Nagia Park. Kamla Nagar is a residential and commercial neighbourhood in North Delhi, India. It is one of Delhi's major shopping centres. History Kamla Nagar is named after Kamala Nehru, a freedom fighter and wife of Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first prime minister. Guru Hanuman actual name Vijay Pal Yadav (1901–1999) was a legendary wrestling coach of India who coached many medal-winning wrestlers. He was awarded the prestigious Dronacharya Award in 1987, the highest recognition for a sports coach in India, and the Padma Shri in 1983. Early life Guru was born as Vijay Pal Yadav on 15 March 1901, in the Chirawa town of Rajasthan state. He did not attend school, but began wrestling at the local village akhada from an early age. He moved to Delhi in 1919 to set up a shop near Birla Mills in Subzi Mundi, but instead became a wrestler and soon gained popularity in the field. Career The Indian industrialist K. K. Santosh Anand (born 5 March 1929) is an Indian lyricist who attained success in the 1970s, earning the Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist twice in 1975 and 1983. Satpal Singh (born 1 February 1955), also known as Guru Satpal, is a wrestling coach and former wrestler of India. He was a Gold Medalist in 1982 Asian Games and a Bronze medalist in 1974 Asian Games. Today he is better known as the coach of Olympic medal winners Sushil Kumar and Ravi Kumar Dahiya.
