Shahritus District or Nohiya-i Shahritus ( tg, Ноҳияи Шаҳритӯс) is a district in Khatlon Region, southwestern Tajikistan. Its capital is the town Shahrituz Shahritus (before 2021 Shahrituz tg, Шаҳритуз''.'' , now Шаҳритӯс ''Shahritŭs'', ) is a town in Khatlon Region, southwestern Tajikistan. Shahritus (before 2021 Shahrituz tg, Шаҳритуз''.'' , now Шаҳритӯс ''Shahritŭs'', ) is a town in Khatlon Region, southwestern Tajikistan. Situated on the river Kofarnihon, the city was founded in 1938. Its population is 17,200 (January 2020 estimate). It is the seat of the Shahritus District. Tajik Language
Tajik (Tajik: , , ), also called Tajiki Persian (Tajik: , , ) or Tajiki, is the variety of Persian spoken in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan by Tajiks.
