Shahin or Shaheen, is a female or male given name which is the Persian term for ''hawk'' or ''falcon'', although in specific, the peregrine falcon. Shahin Kolonja
Shahin bey Kolonja ( tr, Şahin Teki Kolonya; 1865–1919) was an Albanians, Albanian journalist, politician, and member of the Ottoman Parliament during its Second Constitutional Era. Life Shahin Kolonja was born in Starje, Ottoman Empire, today's southern Albania, as Shahin Teki Ypi. Kolonja was a graduate of the school of civil service (mülkiye) and had served as director of several ''idadiye'' schools, initially in Edirne. He was one of the Albanians employed in the Ottoman public administration and was for a time the Mutasarrıf, mutasarrif of the sanjak of Mount Athos (Aynaroz). He abandoned civil service in order to follow other lifetime pursuits and beliefs. Later he was arrested in Bitola and sentenced to three years in prison for disseminating Albanian-language works. Shāhin-i Shirāzi ( fa, شاهین شیرازی, born in Shiraz in the Ilkhanate, now in Iran) was a Persian Jewish poet in the 14th century. Biography The details surrounding his biography are not clear. It is known that he worked during the reign of Ilkhan Abu Sa'id Bahadur Khan (1316-1335), and that he was also a contemporary of the Persian poet Hafez (d. 1390), who was also from Shiraz. It is unclear whether '"Shahin" is the poet's first name or his pen name. It is possible that he was from Kashan and that he was buried in Shiraz. Shahin Imranov ( az, Şahin İmranov) (born 23 September 1980) is a boxer from Azerbaijan. He is best known for winning two featherweight silver medals at European championships. Career Imranov won a silver medal at the 2002 European Amateur Boxing Championships. Şahin Giray (prince)
Shahin Giray ( 1585-1641) was an exiled member of the ruling house of the Crimean Khanate. Şahin was the son of Khan Saadet II Giray (reigned 1584) and the grandson of Khan Mehmed II Giray (reigned 1577-1584). His eldest brother was Devlet who was killed in 1601. His elder brother was the future Khan Mehmed III Giray (reigned 1623-1628). His mother was Es Turgan, the daughter of "Gazi Bey" (Mirza Kazi?) who founded the Lesser Nogai Horde around 1557. Shahin Charmi (born September 17, 1953) is an Iranian-born German multimedia artist, muralist, and painter. Biography Shahin Charmi was born on September 17, 1953, in Iran. He studied at the Muthesius Academy of Art in Kiel, Germany (from 1980 until 1985), under Harald Duwe and Peter Nagel. Charmi is married to Austrian artist Patricia Bolf-Charmi.
