Shahi Masjid
The Shahi Masjid, also known as ''masjid awan e shahi'' , ''Public garden Mosque'' and ''Bagh E Aam ke Masjid'', is a mosque within the Public Gardens, Hyderabad adjacent to Telangana Legislative Assembly, Hyderabad, India. In 1924 the Nizam of Hyderabad Mir Osman Ali Khan commissioned the construction of the Shahi Masjid thru "the City Improvement Board" and was constructed completed in 1933. The mosque served as a principal mosque for the VII Nizam and his courtiers. Public Gardens, Hyderabad
Public Gardens also known as Bagh-e-Aam is a historic park located in the heart of the city of Hyderabad, India. It was built in 1846 by the Nizam of Hyderabad and is the oldest park in Hyderabad. The Telangana Legislative Assembly or Telangana Śāsana Sabha is the lower house of the Telangana Legislature. The Legislative Assembly of Telangana currently consists of 119 elected members and 1 nominated member from the Anglo-Indian community. Its chief engineer was Nawab Sarwar Jung. The members of the ''Vidhana Sabha'' are directly elected by people through Universal suffrage, adult franchise. The Nizams were the rulers of Hyderabad from the 18th through the 20th century. Mir Osman Ali Khan
Mir Osman Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VII (5 or 6 April 1886 — 24 February 1967), was the last Nizam (ruler) of the Princely State of Hyderabad, the largest princely state in British India. He ascended the throne on 29 August 1911, at the age of 25 and ruled the Kingdom of Hyderabad between 1911 and 1948, until India annexed it.
