''Shaheed'' ( hi, शहीद, "The Martyr") is a 1948 Bollywood Indian romance film, written and directed by Ramesh Saigal. The film depicts India's struggle for independence. It starred Dilip Kumar, Kamini Kaushal, Chandra Mohan, and Leela Chitnis. It had music by Ghulam Haider. Shaheed was the highest grossing Indian movie of 1948. This was actor Chandra Mohan's last screen appearance. Ramesh Saigal was an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter and actor in Hindi language films. Professional life His major work includes ''Railway Platform'' (1955), ''Shola Aur Shabnam'' (1961) and ''Ishq Par Zor Nahin'' (1970). Mohammed Rafi
Mohammed Rafi (24 December 1924 – 31 July 1980) was an Indian playback singer and musician. He is considered to have been one of the greatest and most influential singers of the Indian subcontinent.
