Shahdag Mountain Resort
Shahdagh Mountain Resort is Azerbaijan's first and largest winter resort. Resort The Shahdag Mountain Resort Complex (Şahdağ Turizm Merkezi) opened to the public in 2012. It is located in the Azerbaijan's Greater Caucasus range, the site is located near Shahdag National Park, which is known for having an intact ecological system and an untouched flora and fauna. It is the first and largest ski resort in Azerbaijan. Plans for the project include 10-12 3 star hotels, golf-clubs, 160-180 cottages, Aqua Park and other objects (places for the living of employees, car parks, workshops for technical works etc.) in the complex. Shahdagh Qusar FK (Azerbaijani: ''Şahdağ Qusar FK'') is an Azerbaijani football club based in Qusar, that currently takes part in Azerbaijan First Division. Mount Shahdagh ( az, Şahdağ; lez, Кас сув) is a mountain peak of the Greater Caucasus range, located in the Qusar District of Azerbaijan, close to the border with Russia. Shahdag National Park
Shahdag National Park ( az, Şahdağ Milli Parkı) — is a national park of Azerbaijan. It was established on an area of in the Quba Rayon, Qusar Rayon, İsmayıllı Rayon, Qəbələ Rayon, Oğuz Rayon and Şamaxı Rayon administrative districts on December 8, 2006. It was enlarged by presidential decree on July 8, 2010 from to . It is located in northern Azerbaijan, close to the border with Russia at the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Mount Bazardüzü, the highest mountain of Azerbaijan is located in Shadag National Park. The Shahdag National Park is the largest national park not only Azerbaijan but in the whole Caucasus. The World Bank has allocated a $17 million loan and $8 million grant for the national park's creation, while the government of Japan has provided $8 million as a grant for the project implementation. Shahdagh people (also spelt ''Shah Dagh'', ''Shakhdag'', ''Shakhdagh'' and ''Shadag''; ''Şahdağ'' in Azerbaijani orthography) is a generic term for several small ethnic groups living in the vicinity of Mount Shahdagh in northern Azerbaijan, particularly in three major villages of the district of Konakhkent (Quba) near the Daghestani border. The Shahdagh ethnic groups generally speak Samur languages of the Lezgic branch of the Northeast Caucasian language family.
