Shadowseeds
Shadowseeds II is a dark wave/esoterical musical project consisting of Thomas Karlsson and Tommie Eriksson, who before 1999 spelled his name Tommy Eriksson. Shadowseeds released their first album The Dream of Lilith in 1995 on Dark Age/ Megarock Records. The album was hardly at all promoted by the label and it sank with inertia into an esoteric underground cult status. In 2002, after exactly seven years of silence, the project was resurrected. Thomas wrote a unique text about the 17th-century Swedish occultist Johannes Bureus which created the basis for a live performance at the Ecstatic Society/Fylkingen in Stockholm together with acts like Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio and Coph Nia. Tommie Eriksson
Tommie Eriksson (also known as Tommy Eriksson) is a Swedish musician. He founded doom band Saturnalia Temple in 2006. Background Eriksson founded the metal band Nocturnal Rites together with Fredrik Mannberg in 1990, though then belonging to the death metal scene. Tommie left Nocturnal Rites in 1994. Johannes Bureus
Johannes Thomae Bureus Agrivillensis (born Johan Bure; 1568–1652) was a Swedish polymath, antiquarian, mystic, royal librarian, poet, and tutor and adviser of King Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden. He is a well-known exponent of Gothicism. Life and career Bureus was born in 1568 in Åkerby near Uppsala – where the largest and last of the pagan temples once was – in Sweden, as a son of a Lutheran parish priest. He was Sweden's first national archaeologist (''riksantikvarie'') and first head of Sweden's national library (''riksbibliotekarie''). He was also the first to document runes. He has been called the father of the Swedish grammar. In 1599, he designed the coats of arms of Helsinki and Uusimaa. Bureus combined his runic and esoteric interests in his own runic system, which he called the "Adalruna". He was interested in the Rosicrucian manifestos. Dark wave (also typeset as darkwave) is a music genre that emerged from the new wave and post-punk movement of the late 1970s. Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio
Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio (ORE) is a neofolk and martial industrial music group from Stockholm. The band is composed of its founding member and vocalist Tomas Pettersson, and Rose-Marie Larsen, who replaced Chelsea Krook on backup vocals. In 2008 Fredrik Leijström and Ronnie Bäck joined the band on bass and guitar. Biography In 1993, following the discontinuation of Tomas Pettersson's previous band, Archon Satani, he decided to start a new project. This project was initially called ''Ordo Equilibrio'' and joined by Chelsea Krook, his then-girlfriend. Together they made three full-length releases and one 7". Coph Nia
Coph Nia is the name given to the dark ambient act formed by Aldenon Satorial (Mikael Aldén). Its first release was the album ''That Which Remains'', which was released in 2000 at Cold Meat Industry. The original members were Mikael Aldén (composition), Magnus Baecklund (lyrics), Clara Pahlén (vocals on ''Our Lady of the Stars'' and ''Sanctus''), and Aasa Vildblomma (percussion). The three latter members, however, only participated on the first album: ''That which Remains'' (2000). The name itself derives from Chapter 3 of Aleister Crowley’s ''Liber AL vel Legis''. The passage reads in full: “I am the Lord of the Double Wand of Power; the wand of the Force of Coph Nia—but my left hand is empty, for I have crushed an Universe; & nought remains.” (AL III:72) Itself thought to be a reference to Ain Soph.
