Kazi Sharmin Nahid Nupur Shabnoor (born 17 December 1977), known by her stage name Shabnoor, is a Bangladeshi film actress. She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the film ''Dui Noyoner Alo'' (2005). Background Kazi Sharmin Nahid Nupur was born on 17 December 1979 at Nabharan, Jessore, Bangladesh. Her father is Shahjahan Chowdhury. She has a sister and a brother–Jhumur and Tamal. Career Shabnur debuted her career with co-actor Shabbir in the 1993 film ''Chandni Raatey'', directed by Ehtesham. Dui Noyoner Alo is a 2005 Bangladeshi romantic drama film directed by Mostafizur Rahman Manik. The film is produced by Humayun Kabir under the banner of Navdhara Films. It stars Shabnur, Ferdous Ahmed, Shakil Khan and Bulbul Ahmed. It revolves around the life struggle of a low-income young woman and her struggle for dignity. The film was released on May 13, 2005. Shakil Khan, known professionally as Shakil Khan, is a Bangladeshi actor who was active from 1997 to 2010. Politics When Talukder Abdul Khaleque, Member of Parliament for Bagerhat-3, resigned from parliament in April 2018 to run for mayor of Khulna, Khan considered contesting the resulting by-election as an independent candidate. He decided against a run, however, and Habibun Nahar, Khaleque's wife, was elected unopposed.
