Seth Lundy
Seth Xavier Lundy (born April 2, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract with the College Park Skyhawks of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Penn State Nittany Lions. Early life and high school career Lundy grew up in Paulsboro, New Jersey and attended Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He averaged 16.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game as a junior. Lundy committed to playing college basketball for Penn State over offers from Louisville, Marquette and Virginia Tech. College career Lundy averaged 5.3 points per game during his freshman season at Penn State. He averaged 10.1 points and 4.2 rebounds over 25 games with 15 starts as a sophomore. The Penn State Nittany Lions basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team representing the Pennsylvania State University. They are a member of the Big Ten Conference and play home games at the 15,261-seat Bryce Jordan Center, moving there from Rec Hall during the 1995–96 season. 2019–20 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Season
The 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 5, 2019. The first tournament was the 2K Sports Classic and the season concluded prematurely on March 12, 2020. The 2020 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament was scheduled to end in Atlanta on April 6, 2020, but was ultimately canceled. All other postseason tournaments were canceled as well. Practices officially began in late September. On March 12, 2020, the NCAA announced that all remaining winter and spring championships for both men's and women's sports were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2023–24 Atlanta Hawks season was the 75th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and 56th in Atlanta. It is the first full season under new head coach Quin Snyder. The Hawks made it to their fourth straight postseason appearance and third straight play-in berth, as the No. 10 seed. The Toronto Raptors are a Canadian professional basketball team based in Toronto. Blocked Shots
In basketball, a block or blocked shot occurs when a defensive player legally deflects a field goal attempt from an offensive player to prevent a score. The defender is not allowed to make contact with the offensive player's hand (unless the defender is also in contact with the ball) or a '' foul'' is called. In order to be legal, the block must occur while the shot is traveling upward or at its apex. A deflected field goal that is made does not count as a blocked shot and simply counts as a successful field goal attempt for shooter plus the points awarded to the shooting team. For the shooter, a blocked shot is counted as a missed field goal attempt. Also, on a shooting foul, a blocked shot cannot be awarded or counted, even if the player who deflected the field goal attempt is different from the player who committed the foul.
