Serra Do Aracá State Park
The Serra do Aracá State Park ( pt, Parque Estadual da Serra do Aracá) is a state park in the state of Amazonas, Brazil. Location The Serra do Aracá State Park is in the municipality of Barcelos in the state of Amazonas. The base of the Serra do Aracá, a sandstone tepui after which the park is named, is from the municipal seat on the south (right) shore of the Rio Negro. It can be reached from there by boat along the Cuieiras River. It may also be reached by chartered float plane. From the base to the top of the serra is a 4–5 day journey on foot, or a short helicopter ride. The park has an area of . The park overlaps with the Amazonas National Forest, which includes large areas of the park and extends to the west and east of the park. It is also mostly within the Yanomami Indigenous Territory. Barcelos, (also Barcellos), formerly Mariuá, is a municipality located in the State of Amazonas, northern Brazil. Amazonino Mendes
Amazonino Armando Mendes (born November 16, 1939) is a Brazilian politician. He served as the Governor of the Brazilian state of Amazonas for three non-consecutive tenures. He was born in Eirunepé, Amazonas. He first served as governor from 1987 until April 2, 1990, when he resigned from office to run for the Federal Senate. He was elected governor in 1995, serving from 1995 until 2003. In 2017, Mendes was elected Governor of Amazonas succeeding David Almeida, who assumed as interim following the Superior Electoral Court impeachment of former Governor José Melo and former Vice Governor Henrique Oliveira. As a result, the president of the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas State assumed until the elections were held on the 6th and 27 August. The ''campo rupestre'' ("rupestrian grassland") is a discontinuous montane subtropical ecoregion occurring across three different biomes in Brazil: Cerrado, Atlantic Forest and Caatinga. Campinarana
Campinarana (NT0158, ), also called Rio Negro Campinarana, is a neotropical ecoregion in the Amazon biome of the north west of Brazil and the east of Colombia that contains vegetation adapted to extremely poor soil. It includes savanna, scrub and forest, and contains many endemic species of fauna and flora. Location Areas of campinarana, which may cover several thousand square kilometres, are found in the transitional region from the Guyana Shield to the Amazon basin. Mount Roraima
Mount Roraima ( es, Monte Roraima; Tepuy Roraima; Cerro Roraima pt, Monte Roraima ) is the highest of the Pakaraima chain of tepuis (table-top mountain) or plateaux in South America. It is located at the junction of Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana. A characteristic large flat-topped mountain surrounded by cliffs 400 to 1,000 meters high. Demini River is a river in the Amazon rainforest of the state of Amazonas, Brazil. It is a tributary of the Rio Negro. Course The Demini River rises in the Serra do Aracá State Park, a conservation unit created in 1990. It flows southwest through the park, then flows south to join the Rio Negro.
