Sergei Naidin
Sergei "Seryoga" Sergeevich Naidin (russian: Сергей Сергеевич Найдин, born 11 July 2001 in Barnaul, Altai Krai, Russia) is a Russian artistic gymnast. He is the 2016 European Junior Pommel horse champion. On the national level, he is a two-time the 2016, 2018 Russian Junior National All-around champion. Competitive history Career Junior Naidin began gymnastics in 2006 in Barnaul. In 2014, he competed at the Russian Youth Games where he came in 1st in the all-around. At the "Hope of Russia" competition, he won the all-around, as well as finishing 1st on floor, rings, pommel horse, parallel bars, horizontal bar and 2nd in vault. In 2015, Naidin competed at the international junior gymnastics competition, the Yokohama Cup in Japan finishing 4th in horizontal bar and 5th on floor. Barnaul ( rus, Барнау́л, p=bərnɐˈul) is the largest types of inhabited localities in Russia, city and administrative centre of Altai Krai, Russia, located at the confluence of the Barnaulka and Ob Rivers in the West Siberian Plain. 2021 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2021 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held in Kitakyushu, Japan from October 18–24, 2021. The competition took place at the Kitakyushu City General Gymnasium. It was the third time that Japan hosted the event, following the 1995 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, 1995 and 2011 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, 2011 editions. The competition was originally scheduled to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, before the Danish Gymnastics Federation withdrew from hosting in July 2020. In November 2020, the International Gymnastics Federation, Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique announced Kitakyushu as the replacement host city for the same dates. Although the World Championships are traditionally not held in Olympic years, the postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics caused the 2021 event to fall during the same year.
