Sergei Kalinin (sport Shooter)
Sergei Alekseyevich Kalinin (russian: Сергей Алексеевич Калинин, 23 December 1926 – 17 October 1997) was a Soviet sports shooter. He competed at the 1960 and 1964 Olympics in the individual trap event and finished in 3rd and 22nd place, respectively. Biography Kalinin was born to a hunter and started shooting aged seven. Between 1943 and 1945 he fought in World War II, and after that started training in sports shooting. He won two world titles with the Soviet team, in 1958 and 1962. Resurrection (1960 Film)
''Resurrection'' (russian: Воскресение, Voskreseniye) is a Soviet film made in 1960-1961, directed by Mikhail Schweitzer and based on his and Yevgeny Gabrilovich's adaptation of the Russian writer Leo Tolstoy's 1899 novel of the same name. Plot In the District Court, a jury hears about the fatal poisoning of a merchant Smyelkov. Among the three accused of the crime is the burgher Ekaterina Maslova, a prostitute. Maslova is innocent, but, as a result of a miscarriage of justice, she is sentenced to four years' hard labor in Siberia. At the trial, one of the jurors is Prince Dmitri Nekhlyudov, who recognizes the defendant. About ten years ago, he seduced and abandoned her. Feeling guilty about this, Nekhlyudov decides to hire a well-known lawyer for her, to appeal her conviction, and to help her with money. Sergey Pavlovich Kalinin (Russian: Сергей Калинин, born March 17, 1991) is a Russian professional ice hockey forward for Traktor Chelyabinsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He formerly played for the New Jersey Devils in the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Undrafted, Kalinin played professionally in his native Russia with Kontinental Hockey League club, Avangard Omsk. Kalinin spent five seasons with Avangard and in the 2014–15 season, he set career highs in all categories with 12 goals, 13 assists, 25 points, 49 penalty minutes and 58 games played, while serving as the club’s captain as a 23-year-old. On May 29, 2015, Kalinin left Avangard Omsk and signed a one-year entry-level deal with the New Jersey Devils of the NHL. In the 2015–16 season, he made his NHL debut October 9, 2015 against the Winnipeg Jets at Prudential Center.
