Sergei Aslanyan (journalist)
Sergei Stepanovich Aslanyan (russian: Серге́й Степанович Асланян; born 20 February 1966) is a Russian radio journalist specializing in cars. From 1987 to 1990, he worked as a sociologist at the All-Union Center for the Study of Public Opinion. In 1990 and 1991, he worked as a caricaturist artist in the publishing house Data and from 1992 to 1995, he was editor in the TV program «Авто&Шоу» (Auto & Shows) and between 1994 and 1995, he was the host of «Автомобильное обозрение» ("Automobile Review") on an RTR Business channel. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, he worked in a number of magazines including ''Autopilot'', '' Kommersant'', '' Moskovskij Komsomolets'', ''Motor'', ''Proyect Garage'', ''Avtomir'' and ''MK-Mobil''. While the radio programming of Ekho of Moscow ceased to exist, Venediktov and most of the employees began a spin-off YouTube channel, ''Zhivoi Gvozd (literally "Live Nail", a pun on the common term "Live Guest"), which follows the late station's format and schedule. Radio Mayak
Radio Mayak is a radio broadcasting company in Russia, owned by VGTRK. Mayak is the Russian word for "lighthouse" or "beacon". As well as Radio Mayak proper (which broadcasts news, talk shows, and popular music), the company is also responsible for the youth music channel Radio Yunost. Radio Mayak was established in August 1964 as a major All-Union Radio station dedicated to news and light music. Its name and format were probably inspired by the BBC Light Programme. Until recently it was transmitted on long wave, medium wave and shortwave. Advertising was introduced in the 1980s. In audio signal processing and acoustics, an echo is a reflection of sound that arrives at the listener with a delay after the direct sound. The delay is directly proportional to the distance of the reflecting surface from the source and the listener. Typical examples are the echo produced by the bottom of a well, by a building, or by the walls of an enclosed room and an empty room. A true echo is a single reflection of the sound source.
