Serge Vieira
Serge Vieira (4 April 1977 – 1 July 2023) was a French Michelin-starred chef of the restaurant bearing his name, Serge Vieira, located at Château de Couffour. He was winner of the 2005 Bocuse d'or. Biography Serge Vieira was born in Clermont-Ferrand in 1977 to Portuguese parents João and Maria Irene Vieira. He is the youngest of five siblings, and his father works for Michelin. Château De Couffour
The Château de Couffour or Tour du Couffour is a ruined castle situated in the French '' commune'' of Chaudes-Aigues in the Cantal '' département''. The original 15th-century castle, with seven towers with conical roof, was witness to the importance of this place during the Hundred Years War. The present remains consist of a tower and neighbouring buildings. The circular tower has attached to it, on the west, a smaller tower containing the spiral staircase that gives access to the upper floors. The ground floor, noticeably square, is vaulted. The rooms on the three upper floors display a more or less similar layout. Small circular rooms communicate with each of these rooms. Marc Meneau (16 March 1943 – 9 December 2020) was a French chef, who earned three stars from the Guide Michelin. He was the chef of the restaurant ''L'Espérance'' located in Saint-Père, Yonne. Early life Meneau was born in Avallon on 16 March 1943. A native of Burgundy, Meneau never really departed his native region. Going to Strasbourg in 1961 to join a hotel school, he then returned to take over the grocery store of his mother, Marguerite, located in Saint-Père in the town of Vézelay. With the help of his wife Françoise (daughter of a Burgundian restaurant owner) and as a self-taught cooking chef, he transformed it into a restaurant and started inventing recipes which he published soon after.
