Serbia In The Eurovision Song Contest 2018
Serbia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song "Nova deca" written by Sanja Ilić, Tanja Ilić and Danica Krstajić. The song was performed by Sanja Ilić and the group Balkanika. The Serbian national broadcaster, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) organised the national final ''Beovizija 2018'' in order to select the Serbian entry for the 2018 contest in Lisbon, Portugal. Seventeen entries competed in the national final on 20 February 2018, which resulted in "Nova deca" performed by Sanja Ilić and Balkanika as the winner following the combination of votes from a five-member jury panel and a public televote. Sanja Ilić
Aleksandar "Sanja" Ilić ( sr-Cyr, Александар "Сања" Илић; 27 March 1951 – 7 March 2021) was a Serbian and Yugoslav musician and composer. Ilić started composing as a teenager. In 1971 he formed the rock band San, which disbanded in 1975, after the band's vocalist Predrag Jovičić died in concert from an electric shock. After this event Ilić decided not to perform live with a band again. He continued his career as a composer, composing several hit songs for Yugoslav pop and rock artists. He worked with composer and keyboardist Sloba Marković on the electronic music album ''Delta Project'' and actor and lyricist Irfan Mensur on the album ''Plava ptica''. In 2000, Ilić formed the ethnic music ensemble Balkanika, with which he recorded five albums and had numerous performances across the world. Vladimir Graić ( sr, Владимир Граић, born 19 February 1968) is a Serbian composer of popular, film and television music. Among other pieces, he composed the song Molitva, performed by Marija Šerifović, which won the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest. The Eurovision Song Contest 2013 was the 58th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Malmö, Sweden, following the country's victory at the with the song "Euphoria" by Loreen. Moje 3 ( sr-cyr, Моје 3; English: ''My 3'') was a Serbian girl group consisting of Mirna Radulović, Nevena Božović and Sara Jovanović. They represented Serbia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö with the song "Ljubav je svuda". The group performed on the first semi-final and failed to qualify for the final of the contest. After Eurovision, the group disbanded for its members to resume their solo careers. Željko Joksimović ( sr-Cyrl, Жељко Јоксимовић, ; born 20 April 1972) is a Serbian vocalist, composer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He plays 12 different musical instruments including accordion, piano, guitar and drums. Joksimović is multi-lingual, being fluent in Greek, English, Russian, Polish and French as well as his native Serbian. A singer-songwriter, Joksimović has been successful composing for other artists throughout the Balkans.
