Serapio Rukundo
Serapio Rukundo is a Ugandan accountant and politician. He was the State Minister for Tourism and Wildlife in the Ugandan Cabinet, from 1 June 2006 until 27 May 2011. In the cabinet reshuffle of 27 May 2011, he was dropped from the cabinet and replaced by Agnes Akiror. He also served as the elected Member of Parliament representing Kabale Municipality from 2001 until 2011. During the 2011 national election cycle, he lost the Kabale Municipality parliamentary seat to Andrew Baryayanga. Background and education He was born in Kabale District on 6 April 1952. He studied at Ntare School. Serapio Rukundo holds the degree of Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting, obtained from Makerere University, Uganda's oldest university. Kabale District
Kabale District is a district in the Western Region of Uganda. Kabale hosts the district headquarters. It was originally part of Kigezi District, before the districts of Rukungiri, Kanungu, Kisoro, Rubanda and Rukiga and were excised to form separate districts. George Kanyeihamba
George W. Kanyeihamba is a Ugandan author, a retired supreme court Judge, former cabinet minister, member of parliament and was a chair of the Legal Committee of the Constituent Assembly that made the 1995 Constitution. He was appointed a member of the Supreme Court of Uganda in 1997 and retired in November 2009. Previously, he served as minister of commerce, minister of justice, and attorney-general, all in President Yoweri Museveni's administration. He holds a Ph.D. in law from the University of Warwick. In 2008, Warwick awarded him an honorary LLD. Kanyeihamba was one of the three supreme court justices who ruled that the re-election of President Museveni in 2006 was fraudulent enough to be nullified. Uganda Wildlife Authority
The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) is a semi-autonomous Ugandan government agency that aims to conserve, manage and regulate Uganda’s wildlife. "UWA is mandated to ensure sustainable management of wildlife resources and supervise wildlife activities in Uganda, both within and outside the protected areas". As of April 2020, UWA manages ten national parks, twelve wildlife reserves, and fourteen wildlife sanctuaries. UWA also provides guidance for five community wildlife areas. The 2007 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting was the 20th Meeting of the Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Nations. National Housing and Construction Company Limited (NHCC), is a Ugandan construction and real estate management company, partly owned by the Uganda Government. The Uganda Development Bank Limited (UDBL) is a government-owned development bank in Uganda. Overview UDBL which began operating in 1972, was the first development finance institution established by the government of Uganda.
