Serang Railway Station
Serang Station (), is a railway station located in Cimuncang, Serang, Serang, Banten on the Merak–Tanah Abang railway. The station is located to the northeast of the city center. Previously, this station also served long-distance passenger trains and local trains such as Kalimaya, Patas Merak and Krakatau trains. As of 1 April 2017, the Kalimaya and Patas Merak trains were declared to have stopped operating because they were replaced by the new Rangkasbitung Line service of the KRL Commuterline, and on the same date, the Merak Local Train route was cut to only Rangkasbitung– Merak PP, from the previous Tanah Abang–Merak PP route. On 17 July 2017, the Krakatau train route was also cut to become Pasar Senen–Blitar PP from the previous Merak–Blitar PP, and the name was changed to Singasari train. Serang ( id, Kota Serang, , Sundanese: ) is a city and the capital of Banten province and was formerly also the administrative center of Serang Regency in Indonesia (the Regency's capital is now at Baros). The city is located towards the north of Banten province, on the island of Java. Before Banten province was formed in 2000 Serang was part of West Java province. Tanah Abang Railway Station
Tanah Abang Station (THB) is a railway station located in Kampung Bali, Tanah Abang. This station located to the east of West Flood Canal. The station and the canal are only separated by a small, narrow embankment and as such, Tanah Abang station is prone to flooding, especially during the heavy rain season. Tanah Abang station serves as the terminus for KA Commuter line Tanah Abang–Rangkasbitung. It used to serve some intercity services, but after the opening of Rangkasbitung, all local train services towards Merak use Rangkasbitung station as their terminus, therefore local train services do not stop in Tanah Abang station anymore. This station, alongside Duri railway station, serves as transfer stations for the only train services towards South Tangerang and Tangerang respectively. 2022 Serang Train Crash
A train crash occurred on July 26, 2022 when a Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Lokal Merak train crashed into an ''odong-odong'' (a vehicle resembling a bus that carries people, most often children, for amusement purposes) at a level crossing in Serang, Banten, Indonesia on Tuesday morning, causing at least one ''odong-odong'' to be overturned. At least nine people were killed, including three children, and another 24 were wounded in the crash. This was also the first fatal crash involving a train colliding with an ''odong-odong'' in history. Collision A KAI Lokal Merak passenger train heading to Rangkasbitung collided with an ''odong-odong'' that was obstructing a level crossing from Walantaka to Kragilan at Silebu, Serang, Indonesia. Port Of Merak
Port of Merak is a seaport located in the Pulo Merak District of the city of Cilegon, Banten, on the northwestern tip of Java, Indonesia. The port and district are named after the green peafowl, which once lived in the region, but now only lives in the nearby Ujung Kulon National Park.
