Serafima Gromova
Serafima Andreyevna Gromova (russian: Серафима Андреевна Громова; 14 June 1923 - 16 September 2013) was a Soviet-Russian electrical engineer. She was awarded the Order of Lenin. Gromova was born in Orlovka. She joined Osoaviakhim. She was assigned to the 7th Air Defense Division. She served at the Battle of Kursk. She studied at Saratov State University. She was a specialist in the electronic systems of air defense and missile defense systems. In 1966, she became production manager at Factory No. 26 in Fryazino. Order Of Lenin
The Order of Lenin (russian: Орден Ленина, Orden Lenina, ), named after the leader of the Russian October Revolution, was established by the Central Executive Committee on April 6, 1930. The order was the highest civilian decoration bestowed by the Soviet Union. Buran (spacecraft)
''Buran'' (russian: Буран, , meaning "Snowstorm" or "Blizzard"; GRAU index serial number: 11F35 1K, construction number: 1.01) was the first spaceplane to be produced as part of the Soviet/Russian Buran program. Besides describing the first operational Soviet/Russian shuttle orbiter, "Buran" was also the designation for the entire Soviet/Russian spaceplane project and its orbiters, which were known as "Buran-class orbiters". Buran completed one uncrewed spaceflight in 1988, and was destroyed in the 2002 collapse of its storage hangar. The Buran-class orbiters used the expendable Energia rocket, a class of super heavy-lift launch vehicle. It is named after the Asian wind. Zelenograd ( rus, Зеленогра́д, p=zʲɪlʲɪnɐˈgrat, lit. ''green city'') is a city and administrative okrug of Moscow, Russia.
