Seomoon Tak
Seomoon Tak (born March 3, 1978), sometimes known mononymously as Tak, is a South Korean singer, noted for her powerful voice and technically skilled wide vocal range. Her debut album ''Asura'' has been among the top 20 popular karaoke songs in South Korea for more than 20 years. In 2002, she participated in the Red Devils Cheer, the support album for the South Korea national football team at the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Biography Seomoon Tak is an alumna of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and majored in music production and engineering. She debuted in 1999 and sold her first album, ''Asura'', over 300,000 copies and her second album, ''Seomoon Tak II'', over 300,000 copies. After she debuted in South Korea, she regularly had more than 1,000 live performances per year, and radio and TV shows appearances. ''The King of Mask Singer'' () is a South Korean singing competition program presented by Kim Sung-joo, with introductions by voice actor . It airs on MBC on Sunday, starting from April 5, 2015 as a part of MBC's '' Sunday Night'' programming block. Format Each competition lasts for two episodes, with the singers competing one-on-one in three elimination rounds. They are given elaborate masks which are made by designer and gloves to wear in order to conceal their identity, thus removing factors such as popularity, career and age that could lead to prejudiced voting. In the first round, both contestants sing the same song, while in the second and third round they each sing a solo song. ''I Am a Singer'' () is a popular South Korean singing competition program; a part of MBC's '' Sunday Night'' lineup. Seven talented, veteran Korean singers perform for a selected audience, which votes to eliminate one singer after each week's performance.
