Seohyeon-dong
Seohyeon-dong refers to two of the 19 dongs of Bundang-gu, Seongnam, South Korea, Seohyeon-1-dong and Seohyeon-2-dong. The total area is 8.36 km², with a population of 52,950, 32,686 in Seohyeon-1-dong (7.57 km²)[](May 2014) and 20,264 in Seohyeon-2-dong (0.79 km²)[] (May 2014). To south there is Sunae-dong, to north there is Imae-dong, to west there are Baekhyeon-dong and Pangyo-dong, to east there are Bundang-dong and Gwangju city. It includes the busiest place in Bundang, AK Plaza. Ak plaza's clock tower is the most famous meeting place in Bundang. History 'Seohyeon' named after Don-seo-chon (''Seo'') and Yang-hyeon-ri (''Hyeon''). This area was called 'Seohyeon-ri' in 1914, and it was included in Seongnam in 1973. Bundang-gu
Bundang-gu is the largest and most populous district ('' gu'') of Seongnam, a major city in the Seoul Capital Area, South Korea. Bundang-gu is one of South Korea's wealthiest and highest developed areas, being the nation's first and largest completely artificial city built in the early 1990s. Many high-rise luxury condos moved in the early 2000s, with a second planned city built in the late 2000s called Pangyo in the same district. Apartment prices are the second highest in Gyeonggi-do after Gwacheon and 7th highest nationwide, higher than many central Seoul districts such as Mapo-gu or Jongno-gu. Bundang Jesaeng Hospital (분당제생병원) (also known as Daejin Medical Center) is a general hospital located in Seohyeon-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam, South Korea. AK Plaza () is a South Korean department store franchise owned by the Aekyung Industrial Co. Ltd. History Hyung-suk Chah (채형석) began construction of the first department store in March 1991 in Guro District, Seoul. The store opened on September 10, 1993, as the Aekyung Department Store. The store had five basement floors and seven aboveground floors, with a total cost of 120 billion won (120 million US dollars). The success of the Guro store was allegedly used as the basis for opening other branches. In July 2000, Aekyung Group was chosen to open a store in Incheon International Airport after Hotel Shilla gave up its subcontractor rights. The Capital Region First Ring Expressway (Formerly as Seoul Ring Expressway) (Expressway No.100) () is an expressway, circular beltway or ring road around Seoul, South Korea. It connects satellite cities around Seoul, Ilsan, Namyangju, Hanam, Pyeongchon, Jungdong, Bundang, Pangyo, Sanbon and Gimpo. The expressway runs 127.6 km. The Gyeongbu Expressway ( ko, 경부고속도로; ''Gyeongbu Gosokdoro'') ( Asian Highway Network ) is the second oldest and most heavily travelled expressway in South Korea, connecting Seoul to Suwon, Daejeon, Gumi, Daegu, Gyeongju, Ulsan and Busan. Bundang Line
The Bundang Line or Seoul Metropolitan Subway Bundang Line (Sudogwon Jeoncheol Bundangseon 수도권 전철 분당선) was a commuter rail line of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway in the Seoul Capital Area operated by Korail. Also it refers physical railway track from Wangsimni to Suwon which is designated by MOLIT. The name 'Bundang Line' refers to the fact that the line was originally constructed for the new planned town of Bundang. The line service started in central eastern Seoul at Cheongnyangni, crossing Gangnam District and connecting the cities of Seongnam and Yongin, and terminates at Suwon Station. While the track 'Bundang Line' designated by MOLIT is from Wangsimni to Suwon. Service Trains ran every 4~5 minutes during rush hours & every 7~8 minutes during off peak hours between Wangsimni and Jukjeon. Gwangju () is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, a suburb southeast of Seoul. Seongnam
Seongnam () is the fourth largest city in South Korea's Gyeonggi Province after Suwon and the 10th largest city in the country. Its population is approximately one million. Bundang-dong
Bundang-dong () is one of the 19 dongs of Bundang-gu, Seongnam, South Korea. The total area is 3.40 km², with a population of 31,186 (as of April 2007).http://www.bundang-gu.or.kr/dong/bundang/history/history.asp?dong_select=A01 It is a quiet residential area with trees and parks, located at the foot of Bulgok Mountain. Taehyeon Park is close to the residential area. This quiet place has several upscale cafes and restaurants which attract people looking for a quiet place rather than busy places like Seohyeon Station.
