Seocho District
Seocho District () is one of the 25 '' gu'' (local government districts) which make up the city of Seoul, South Korea. Seocho is generally referred to as a part of Greater Gangnam Area, along with Gangnam District. As of 2022, Seocho District ranks as the richest neighborhood in South Korea and among the most expensive areas in Seoul with an average sales price of 47.75 million South Korean won per 3.3 square meters. South Korea's rich are concentrated in the three Gangnam districts including Seocho, known as Gangnam School District Eight(강남 8학군). Seocho District is served by the Seoul Subway Line 2, Line 3, Line 4, Line 7, Bundang Line, Line 9, and Shinbundang Line. South Korea's longest highway, Gyeongbu Expressway, ends here. List Of Districts Of Seoul
The districts of Seoul are the twenty-five '' gu'' ("districts"; hangeul: 구; hanja: 區) comprising Seoul, South Korea. The ''gu'' vary greatly in area (from 10 to 47 km2) and population (from less than 140,000 to 630,000). Songpa-gu is the most populated, while Seocho-gu has the largest area. Gu are similar to London's or New York's boroughs or Tokyo's 23 special wards. Each gu's government handles many of the functions that are handled by city governments in other jurisdictions. Seoul Subway Line 7
Seoul Subway Line 7 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway was built from 1990 to 1996 (Jangam- Konkuk Univ.) and was completed on August 1, 2000 (central section 17 km. Konkuk University to Sinpung); the western section between Sinpung and Onsu was put into service on February 29, 2000. This north-south line does not run through the city centre but links Gangnam directly to the northeastern districts of Seoul. In 2019, Line 7 had an annual ridership of 380 million or 1.04 million passengers per day. Although most trains stop an Jangam and Seongnam, some trains short turn at Onsu station. Umyeon-dong
Umyeon-dong is a '' dong'', neighbourhood of Seocho-gu in Seoul, South Korea is part of Gangnam District and a well-known, private neighborhood for the wealthy in southern Seoul. It is a legal dong (법정동) administered under its administrative dong (행정동), Yangjae 1-dong. The first syllable of the name is derived from Umyeonsan, or Mt. Bangbae-dong
Bangbae-dong is a ''dong'', or neighbourhood of the greater Gangnam area Seocho-gu district of the South Korean city of Seoul. Bangbae-dong is divided into 5 different dongs which are Bangbaebon-dong, Bangbae 1-dong, 2-dong, 3-dong and 4-dong. The origin of Bangbae-dong is derived from the name Bangbae, meaning "dong-ri with my back to Mt. Myeon-ri," which rises on the border between Gwanak-gu and Seocho-gu. Bangbae-dong was Bangbae-ri, Sangbuk-myeon, Gwacheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do until the end of the Joseon Dynasty, but became Bangbae-ri, Sindong-myeon, Siheung-gun, Gyeonggi-do in 1914 when the area was confirmed during the Japanese colonial period. Banpo-dong
Banpo-dong is a '' dong'', neighborhood of Seocho-gu, the greater Gangnam area in Seoul, South Korea. Banpo-dong is divided into five different dong which are Banpobon-dong, Banpo 1-dong, 2-dong, 3-dong and 4-dong. The neighborhood is just north of Express Bus Terminal station and to the south of the Han River. Some of the apartment buildings were built in the late 1970s but the area is considered affluent due to its central location within Seoul, proximity to the Han River Park, shopping malls, and mass transit transportation options. This area is also specialized for education, since banpo-shopping-center contains numerous educational academies of the greater Gangnam area. Jamwon-dong is a '' dong'', neighbourhood of the greater Gangnam area Seocho-gu in Seoul, South Korea. Until 1988, Jamwon-dong was under the jurisdiction of Gangnam-gu. Gangnam Station
Gangnam Station is a station located in both the greater Gangnam area Gangnam District and Seocho District of Seoul, South Korea, on the Seoul Subway Line 2.
