Seo Hee-ju
Seo Hee-ju (; born November 18, 1993) is a retired wushu taolu athlete from South Korea. She was a two-time world champion and medalist at the World Games and the Asian Games. Career Seo made her international debut at the 2009 World Wushu Championships where she finished sixth in qiangshu. She then competed in the 2010 Asian Games and finished 8th in women's changquan. At the 2011 World Wushu Championships, she finished sixth in jianshu. Two years later at the 2013 World Wushu Championships, she finished sixth in changquan and eighth in jianshu. A year later at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, she won the bronze medal in women's jianshu and qiangshu. A year later, she competed in the 2015 World Wushu Championships and became the world champion in jianshu. She continued to hold this title at the 2017 World Wushu Championships in addition to winning the silver medal in qiangshu. 2023 World Wushu Championships
The 2023 World Wushu Championships was the 16th edition of the World Wushu Championships. It was held at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas, United States, from November 16 to 20, 2023. Development and preparation Selection process During the 2019 World Wushu Championships in Shanghai, China, the 15th IWUF Congress met to vote on the host city for the 16th WWC. At the conclusion of the competition, it was announced that the next edition of the world championships would be held in 2021 in Dallas, Texas, United States. This would mark the first time a major international wushu competition was held in the United States since the 1995 World Wushu Championships. The competition will be organized by the United States of America Wushu Kungfu Federation (USAWKF) under Anthony Goh. The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Universiade is referred to in English as the World University Games or World Student Games; however, this latter term can also refer to competitions for sub-University grades students. The 2010 Asian Games (), officially known as the XVI Asian Games () and also known as Guangzhou 2010 (), was a regional multi-sport event celebrated from November 12 to November 27, 2010 in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, although several events commenced earlier on November 7, 2010. It was the second time China had hosted the Asian Games, with the first one being Asian Games 1990 hosted in Beijing. The International Wushu Federation (IWUF) is an international sport organization and is the governing body for wushu in all its forms worldwide. The IWUF is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and is also a member of the ARISF, GAISF, FISU, IWGA, and the ISF.
