Sensation (event)
Sensation is an indoor electronic dance music event which originated in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and organized by ID&T. The original event, which ran exclusively in the Amsterdam Arena for a period of five years until 2005, is now located throughout various European and a few non-European countries. History In 2000 and 2001 there were single events simply known as Sensation. Later Sensation was expanded into two annual events known as Sensation Black and Sensation White. This was done to differentiate the music and feeling more than would have been possible if it were one event. Sensation Black focuses more on 'darker' music, like Hardstyle and Hardcore, whereas Sensation White focuses more on trance music. Every year, Sensation also releases two doublediscs (Black and White) and two singles they call the Anthem. 2008 the names of both events have been changed: "Sensation" (formerly "Sensation White"), and "Black" (formerly "Sensation Black"). The first edition of Sensation, in 200 ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Sensation Novel
The sensation novel, also sensation fiction, was a literary genre of fiction that achieved peak popularity in Great Britain in the 1860s and 1870s.I. Ousby ed., ''The Cambridge Guide to Literature in English'' (1995) p. 844 Its literary forebears included the melodramatic novels and the Newgate novels, which focused on tales woven around criminal biographies; it also drew on the Gothic, romance, as well as mass market genres. The genre's popularity was conjoined to an expanding book market and growth of a reading public, by-products of the Industrial Revolution. Whereas romance and realism had traditionally been contradictory modes of literature, they were brought together in sensation fiction. Sensation (mango)
The 'Sensation' mango is a late-season mango cultivar that originated in south Florida and was grown on a commercial scale. History The original tree grew from a seed planted in North Miami, Florida in 1935. For some decades the parents of Sensation were unknown, but a 2005 pedigree analysis estimated that Sensation was likely a cross between 'Haden' and 'Brooks'. The tree first fruited in 1941. In 1949 it was named and the tree was moved to the Carmichael nursery in Perrine, Florida by J.B. Carmichael, where it began to be propagated. Despite possessing outstanding color and good production characteristics, Sensation had a drawback due to problems with uneven ripening. After receiving some initial commercial plantings, it fell out of favor as a commercial cultivar and did not become a popular dooryard cultivar in Florida. Some trees remain in commercial groves.
