Senova
Senova is a defunct automobile marque owned by the Chinese automaker BAIC Motor, itself a subsidiary of BAIC Group. It was launched in March 2012. History At the end of 2009, BAIC Group acquired the intellectual property rights to the Swedish car maker Saab's 9-3 and 9-5 models and related powertrain technologies in order to support the development of its own-brand vehicles. The first Senova production model, the Senova D20, a subcompact five-door hatchback, went on sale in China in March 2012. The production version of the Senova D70 made its debut at the 2012 Guangzhou Auto Show. The Senova name was discontinued in 2020. Senova D70
The Beijing U7 or previously the Senova D70 is a mid-size sedan produced by BAIC under the Senova sub-brand and later the Beijing sub-brand respectively. The model range was originally the Beijing Auto Shenbao D-Series, and renamed to Senova D70 after the launch of the Senova brand. The second generation model added an additional Chinese name, Zhidao, at launch, and was later renamed to Beijing U7 after the launch of the revamped Beijing brand. First Generation (2013–2017) The Senova D70 was formerly known as the Beijing Auto Shenbao D-Series which came in two trim levels, the Shenbao D280 and the Shenbao D320. The Beijing U5 or previously the Senova D50 is a compact sedan produced by BAIC under the Senova (Shenbao 绅宝) brand and later the Beijing brand. The electric version is called the EU5, and was branded as the BJEV or BAIC EU5 before being rebadged as the Beijing EU5. The U5 and EU5 both received a facelift in 2021 and was renamed to U5 plus and EU5 Plus sold under the Beijing brand. The Beijing X5 or previously the Senova X55 is a compact CUV positioned under the Senova X65 compact CUV produced by BAIC under the Senova (Shenbao 绅宝) and later the Beijing brand. Senova D60
The Senova D60 is a mid-size sedan produced by the Chinese car manufacturer BAIC Motor under the Senova brand. Overview The final production version of the Senova D60 debuted in August 2014 on the 2014 Chengdu Auto Show. The Senova D60 is based on the same platform as the second-generation Saab 9-3. Beijing Auto bought the license to the Saab 9-3 models and Saab 9-5 models from GM in 2009. The deal included the Saab-developed 2.0 liter turbo four-cylinder petrol engine and the 2.3 liter turbo four-cylinder petrol engine.
