Selina Thompson is a performance artist based in the United Kingdom. Spill Festival
SPILL Festival of Performance is an artist-led biennale of experimental theatre and live art in the UK which began in 2007 and takes place in a variety of venues in London and Ipswich, England. The festival is produced by Pacitti Company and the Artistic Director is Robert Pacitti. Launched in 2007, the SPILL Festival presents new and experimental theatre and performance work from new and established work from UK and international artists. In addition to the biennale Festival SPILL National Platform and Showcase takes place every two years in Ipswich and presents artists in the early stages of their career working in the fields of live art, performance and experimental theatre, selected through an open submission process. Fierce Festival
Fierce! is an international performance festival (previously produced by Fierce Earth) that has taken place annually in and around Birmingham, England since 1997. The launch of the 2004 festival, in May in Birmingham, England, was a group of hot air balloons that drifted over Birmingham's streets in the early hours of the morning playing soft music to "encourage dreams related to the music". In May 2007, the artwork Una White was created as part of the festival. Fierce! 11 was be held over the May Bank Holiday, 23 to 26 May 2008 and the artists taking part in the festival were be chosen by way of a public vote. The voting commenced on 20 March 2008 and conclude on 11 April 2008. The Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Warwick Arts Centre and Birmingham Hippodrome also collaborate heavily in the events. West Yorkshire Playhouse
Leeds Playhouse is a theatre in the city centre of Leeds, West Yorkshire. Having originally opened in 1970 in a different location in Leeds, it reopened as West Yorkshire Playhouse, on Quarry Hill, in March 1990. After a refurbishment in 2018-2019, it reverted to its original name; Leeds Playhouse. Sarah Cruickshank (born 28th November 1980) is a Scottish Gaelic broadcaster from the Isle of Skye who works for BBC Scotland.
