Selina Hornibrook
Selina May Hornibrook (née Gilsenan born 31 May 1978) is a retired Australian netball player. Hornibrook has Rotuman ancestry from her mother. Career After a successful year playing in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy premiership-winning team in 2001, national selectors identified Hornibrook's talent and she received her first invitation to join the Australian squad in 2002. However it was not until early 2005 that she received her first call up to the Australian open team, making her debut in a match against England, which Australia won by 40 goals. A rib injury forced Hornibrook out of Australian team contention for the next international test series, but she fought her way back into contention in late 2005, and has been a permanent member of the team ever since. She was one of Australia's best on court in a silver-medal-winning performance in the 2006 Commonwealth Games final, and after a sterling performance against New Zealand mid-year, cemented her position as Australia's f ... Woolooware High School
Woolooware High is a comprehensive secondary school in the Sutherland Shire, Sydney, Australia. It was established in 1967 and took its first class in January 1968. Woolooware High is known for participation and success in performing arts, sport and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The school has had success in the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge. Several students from WHS competed in and won the Science and Engineering Challenge, held at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation. Woolooware High became a participant in the White Ribbon program in 2014 and was officially accredited as a "White Ribbon" school in 2016. The ANZ Championship, also known as the Trans-Tasman Netball League, is a former netball league featuring teams from both Australia and New Zealand. Between 2008 and 2016, it was the top-level league in both countries. The competition was owned and administered by Trans-Tasman Netball League Ltd (TTNL), a joint venture between Netball Australia and Netball New Zealand. Rotuman People
The Rotumans are a Polynesian ethnic group native to Rotuma, an island group forming part of Fiji. The island itself is a cultural melting pot at the crossroads of the Micronesian, Melanesian and Polynesian divisions of the Pacific Ocean, and due to the seafaring nature of traditional Pacific cultures, the indigenous Rotuman have adopted or share many aspects of its multifaceted culture with its Melanesian, Micronesian and Polynesian neighbours. Netball is a ball sport played on a court by two teams of seven players. It is among a rare number of sports which have been created exclusively for female competitors. The sport is played on indoor and outdoor netball courts and is specifically played in schools. Netball is most popularly played in Commonwealth nations.
