. The school has had success in the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge. Several students from WHS competed in and won the Science and Engineering Challenge, held at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation. Woolooware High became a participant in the White Ribbon program in 2014 and was officially accredited as a "White Ribbon" school in 2016. On 29 January 2016, Woolooware High was one of a number of schools across New South Wales which were evacuated following threatening phone calls that students were in danger. The calls turned out to be a hoax.
