Selfmade Records is a German hip hop music, hip hop label, which was formed 2005 by Elvir Omerbegovic, better known under the pseudonym Slick One, and Philipp Dammann. The studio is located in Düsseldorf. Philipp Dammann left the label at the end of 2005. History The label was formed 2005 in Düsseldorf. The first artist who signed was Favorite, who released 4 April 2005 the sampler ''Schwarzes Gold'' as first release over Selfmade Records. It follows the album ''Rappen kann tödlich sein'' by Favorite and Jason, which was mainly produced by Rizbo, who signed as well 2004. Elvir Omerbegovic
Elvir Omerbegovic (born 1979) is a German entrepreneur of Bosnian descent who is mainly known as the founder and CEO of the hip hop label Selfmade Records and as President of Rap of Universal Music Germany. He is also the founder of the clothing label ''Pusher Apparel'' and the co-founder of ''Suckit''. Early life and career Omerbegovic was born in Mettmann, West Germany in 1979, the son of Bosnian immigrants. At the age of 12, he began to play streetball and won the German championship with his team several times. From 1993 onwards, he performed his sport semi-professionally, playing for Bayer Giants Leverkusen and Brandt Hagen. At the age of 16, he competed against AAU teams in New York as a member of a selected squad. Extertal
Extertal is a municipality in the Lippe district of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, with c. 11,500 inhabitants (2013). Extertal is located on the northern edge of the circle in the Teutoburg Nature Reserve, directly adjacent to Lower Saxony. The Exter and Humme rivers flow through the region. ''Jung, brutal, gutaussehend 2'' ("Young, violent, handsome 2") is the second collaborative studio album by German rappers Kollegah and Farid Bang, released on 8 February 2013 via Selfmade Records. Background In June 2009, Kollegah and Farid Bang released ''Jung, brutal, gutaussehend ''Jung, brutal, gutaussehend'' ("Young, violent, handsome") is the first collaborative studio album by German rappers Kollegah and Farid Bang. It was released on 19 June 2009 through Selfmade Records. Two follow-ups, '' Jung, brutal, gutaussehe ...'', their first collaborative studio album. It peaked on number 30 of the German album charts. Despite the negative reviews by critics, the album became a favourite between their fans. As a result, the rappers were asked about a second part repeatedly. Farid Hamed El Abdellaoui ( ar, link=no, فريد العبدلاوي, born 4 June 1986), known professionally as Farid Bang, is a German rapper of Moroccan-Spanish descent. He is currently the owner of the label Banger Musik. Early life Farid Bang was born in Melilla, Spain, and grew up in Málaga. At the age of eight, he moved to Düsseldorf, Germany with his mother and sister. His mother grew up in Germany and is of Moroccan descent, while his father is from Melilla, Spain. Kollegah
Felix Martin Andreas Matthias Blume (born 3 August 1984), known professionally as Kollegah, is a German rapper. He releases his music via his own label, Alpha Music Empire. Born in Friedberg and raised by a single mother in Simmern, he started rapping in the Reimliga Battle Arena in December 2004. Intending to pursue a solo career as a rapper, Kollegah released his first mixtape ''Zuhältertape'' in July 2005 and was signed to ''Selfmade Records'' in December of the same year.
