Gábor Vona
Gábor Vona (born Gábor Zázrivecz; 20 August 1978) is a Hungarian historian, teacher and former nationalist politician who led the political party Jobbik from 2006 until 2018. He was the party's candidate for the position of prime minister in the 2010, 2014 and 2018 national elections. He served as a Member of Parliament (MP) from 2010 to 2018 and led the Jobbik parliamentary group until 2016. Under his leadership, the Jobbik founded its controversial and short-lived paramilitary wing Magyar Gárda, while the then minor extra-parliamentary party gained great popularity among voters since the 2006 nationwide protests and elevated into the National Assembly during the 2010 parliamentary election. ATV (formerly known as Magyar ATV) is the first Hungarian private TV channel, broadcasting continuously since 1989, with a focus on news, public life, and current events. Licensed as a partially public service commercial television station, it is obliged to broadcast public interest programs (news, current affairs, sports, religion) 50% of the time. Because of this special status, the channel is eligible to apply for grants from the government and the radio and television authority. 2018 Hungarian Parliamentary Election
The 2018 Hungarian parliamentary election took place on 8 April 2018. This parliamentary election was the eighth since the 1990 first multi-party election and the second since the adoption of a new Constitution of Hungary which came into force on 1 January 2012. The result was a victory for the Fidesz–KDNP alliance, preserving its two-thirds majority, with Viktor Orbán remaining Prime Minister. Orbán and Fidesz campaigned primarily on the issues of immigration and foreign meddling, and the election was seen as a victory for right-wing populism in Europe. The National Assembly ( hu, Országgyűlés, lit=Country Assembly) is the parliament of Hungary. The unicameral body consists of 199 (386 between 1990 and 2014) members elected to 4-year terms. Tamás Tóth (born 29 May 1989) is a Hungarian professional triathlete. On 30 October 2018, the ITU (International Triathlon Union) announced a newly elected Athletes’ Committee which included five men and five women from eight different countries, Tamás Tóth was one of the elected members. Shortly thereafter, Tamás Tóth was elected as the Chair of the ITU Athletes’ Committee. Amongst other responsibilities, the ITU Athletes’ Committee carries on important work in support of upcoming Olympics games. As of January 2021 Tamás Tóth had accomplished 114 starts, 7 Podiums, 3 Wins, had a World Ranking of 76 and a Continental ranking of 43. During the 2016 Summer Olympic Games men's triathlon, Tamás placed 33rd and his fellow Hungarian countrymen Gabor Faldum placed 20th.
