Filipino Language
Filipino (; , ) is an Austronesian language. It is the national language ( / ) of the Philippines, and one of the two official languages of the country, with English. It is a standardized variety of Tagalog based on the native dialect, spoken and written, in Metro Manila, the National Capital Region, and in other urban centers of the archipelago. Abra's at-large congressional district refers to the lone congressional district of the Philippines in the province of Abra. Abra has been represented in the country's various national legislatures since 1898. The first congressional delegation consisted of two members in the First Philippine Republic legislature known as the Malolos Congress. Since 1919 when it was re-established as a regular province separate from Ilocos Sur, Abra has been entitled to one member in the House of Representatives of the Philippines, elected provincewide at-large, except for a brief period between 1943 and 1944 when it was again represented by two members in the National Assembly of the Second Philippine Republic. Batanes, officially the Province of Batanes ( ivv, Provinsiya nu Batanes; Ilocano: ''Probinsia ti Batanes''; fil, Lalawigan ng Batanes, ), is an archipelagic province in the Philippines, administratively part of the Cagayan Valley region. Bataan's at-large congressional district refers to the lone congressional district of the Philippines in the province of Bataan for various national legislatures before 1987. The province elected its representatives province-wide at-large from its reorganization under Article 6 of the ''Decreto de 18 junio de 1898 y las instrucciones sobre el régimen de las provincias y pueblos'' for the Malolos Congress in 1898 until the creation of a first and second district on February 2, 1987. Bataan (), officially the Province of Bataan ( fil, Lalawigan ng Bataan ), is a province in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines. Antique has been represented in the country's various national legislatures since 1898. Antique Province
Antique, officially the Province of Antique (; krj, Probinsya kang Antique; hil, Probinsya sang Antique; tl, Probinsya ng Antique), is a province in the Philippines located in the Western Visayas region. Its capital is San Jose de Buenavista, the most populous town in Antique. The province is situated in the western section of Panay Island and borders Aklan, Capiz and Iloilo to the east, while facing the Sulu Sea to the west. Albay's 4th congressional district is a defunct congressional district that encompassed the island of Catanduanes, a former territory of the province of Albay. It was represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippine Islands from 1931 to 1935, in the National Assembly of the Philippine Commonwealth from 1935 to 1941, and in the House of Representatives of the Philippine Commonwealth from 1945 to 1946. It was created by the 1929 reapportionment that redrew the boundaries of Albay's 2nd congressional district and allocated an additional district for the seven municipalities that comprised the island. Following the reorganization of a provincial government in Catanduanes in 1945, the district was dissolved and replaced by Catanduanes's at-large congressional district. Senator Pedro Sabido (born October 19, 1894, Polangui, Albay, Philippines – February 3, 1980) was born to Don Juan D. Sabido and Doña Maximina Ribaya. Early life and education He attended his elementary and high school studies at the Seminario Colegio de Nueva Caceres.
