Sean Rainbird (born March 1959) is a British art historian and museum director. Early life and education Rainbird was born in Hong Kong. His parents, both originally from England, lived and worked there from 1956 to 1972, when the family returned to the United Kingdom. Tate is an institution that houses, in a network of four art galleries, the United Kingdom's national collection of British art, and international modern and contemporary art.
