Sean Michael Murray (born 11 October 1993) is a professional association footballer who plays as a midfielder for NIFL Premiership club Glentoran. He progressed through the academy at Watford from the age of nine, and broke into the first-team in April 2011. He went on to make 85 first-team appearances for the club before being loaned to Wigan Athletic early in the 2015–16 season. He left Watford at the end of the season to join Swindon Town and then joined Colchester United in January 2017. He left Colchester in summer 2018 and joined Danish Superliga side Vejle Boldklub. In February 2019 he left Vejle Boldklub to sign for Irish side Dundalk. Murray has represented the Republic of Ireland at under-17, under-19 and under-21 levels. Sean Murray (born 5 May 1997) is an Irish field hockey player who plays as a midfielder for Belgian Hockey League club Gantoise and the Irish national team. He represented Ireland at the 2018 Men's Hockey World Cup. At club level, he was a member of the Lisnagarvey team that won the 2015–16 Men's Irish Hockey League title. Early years, family and education Murray was educated at Wallace High School and at Queen's University Belfast, where he gained a maths degree. Sean Murray (15 June 1898 – 26 May 1961) was an Irish Communist political activist, and organiser, born in 1898 the son of a small farmer in Cushendall, Co. Antrim. His grandfather was a United Irishman during the 1798 rebellion. In 1919 Murray joined the IRA and was arrested and detained in the Curragh Camp during the Irish War of Independence. Following the Anglo-Irish Treaty of 1921 he sided with the Anti-Treaty side. In 1924 Murray moved to London and while there joined the Communist Party of Great Britain. He was an attendee of the International Lenin School with Padraic Breslin and James Larkin Jnr. Murray was general secretary of the Communist Party of Ireland (CPI) from 1933 to 1940 and the editor of its newspaper The Irish Workers' Voice. Shaun Murray is an American four-time World champion wakeboarder, and the main character featured in Activision O2's video game '' Wakeboarding Unleashed Featuring Shaun Murray'' (originally under the working title ''Shaun Murray's Pro Wakeboarder'') developed by Shaba Games and released on June 3, 2003 for PlayStation 2, Xbox and Game Boy Advance.
