Billeh Nickerson (born February 14, 1972) is a Canadian writer, editor, performer, producer and arts advocate. Personal life Nickerson was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, grew up in Langley, British Columbia, lived in Toronto, Ontario, and currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia. He earned an undergraduate degree in fine arts from the University of Victoria and a master's degree in fine arts from the University of British Columbia. Writing and editing In 2000, Nickerson published ''The Asthmatic Glassblower and other poems'' with Arsenal Pulp. It was nominated for the Publishing Triangle's Thom Gunn Award. The Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival is the largest documentary festival in North America. The event takes place annually in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The 27th edition of the festival took place online throughout May and June 2020. Rob Easton is a Canadian media personality best known for co-hosting the gay television series '' Don't Quit Your Gay Job'' (DQYGJ), that was launched in 2009 on OUTtv. In the series, he competes with his friend and co-host Sean Horlor to master stereotypical gay and non-gay jobs. Each episode features Easton and Horlor competing to see who can be the most successful at a given job. The first season of the show (2009) had six episodes about jobs as bus driver, stripper, equestrian, dominatrix, modelling and drag. ''Don't Quit Your Gay Job'' is a Canadian reality television series presented by Rob Easton and Sean Horlor. Each half-hour episode of ''Don't Quit Your Gay Job'' featured Easton and Horlor competing to see who can be the most successful at stereotypically "gay" jobs. The first season of the show was broadcast in 2009 (6 episodes) and a second season in 2010 (7 episodes) started with a sports series (curling, hockey and professional wrestling) followed by a general set of careers. In season 3, Horlor left the show, with Easton in the job solely as host. Tommy Dolanjski, under his stage name Tommy D, and Adam Rollins, took over the competition aspect of show, working on the gay jobs, with the winner of each episode awarded $500.
