Se På Mig
"Se på mig" (literally translating into "Look at Me"; an English version is titled "Another Night") is a song by Swedish singer Jan Johansen. It represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 1995 in Dublin, Ireland, using the colloquial spelling "Se på mej". It was the 18th song that was performed on the night, following ' Alexandros Panayi with " Sti Fotia" and preceding 's Aud Wilken with " Fra Mols til Skagen". At the close of the voting, it had received 100 points, ultimately finishing 3rd out of a possible 23. It was succeeded as Swedish representative at the 1996 contest by One More Time with "Den vilda". The song peaked on the Swedish '' Sverigetopplistan'' singles chart at #1 twice. On 21 April 1995 it reached No. 1 on the charts, staying there for five weeks and then returned to #1 on 9 June 1995 for another four weeks. Jan Johansen (singer)
Jan Christian Johansen (born 9 January 1966) is a Sweden, Swedish singer, best known for representing Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1995. Life and career Jan Johansen represented Sweden at the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest with "Se på mig" and finished third with 100 points. The song stayed at the top of Svensktoppen for fifteen weeks, charting for thirty weeks in total. His father is the Norwegian jazz musician Egil Johansen (musician), Egil Johansen and his mother is the Norwegian-born 50s jazz singer Ellen Böbak. Johansen has participated in Melodifestivalen four times since "Se på mig" - fourth place in Melodifestivalen 2001, 2001 with "Ingenmansland", seventh place in Melodifestivalen 2002, 2002 with "Sista andetaget" and second place in Melodifestivalen 2003 with "Let Your Spirit Fly", a duet with Pernilla Wahlgren. Ballad
A ballad is a form of verse, often a narrative set to music. Ballads derive from the medieval French ''chanson balladée'' or ''ballade'', which were originally "dance songs". Sweden's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 1995, held in Dublin, Ireland, was Jan Johansen with the song "Se på mig". Before Eurovision Melodifestivalen 1995 Melodifestivalen 1995 was the selection for the 35th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 34th time that this system of picking a song had been used. 986 songs were submitted to SVT for the competition. The final was held in the Malmö Musikteater in Malmö on 24 February 1995, presented by Pernilla Månsson Colt and broadcast on TV2 and Sveriges Radio's P3 and P4 networks. The show was watched by 3,646,000 people. At Eurovision On the night of the contest Johansen performed 18th, following Cyprus and following Denmark. Fred Roger Pontare (born Roger Johansson; 17 October 1951) is a Swedish musician. He lives in Bjuråker in Hudiksvalls kommun. Pontare was born in Arjeplog Municipality, and is of Sami descent. He has represented Sweden twice in the Eurovision Song Contest, in 1994 (duet with Marie Bergman) with " Stjärnorna" and in 2000 with "When Spirits Are Calling My Name", placing 13th and 7th, respectively. Sweden entered the Eurovision Song Contest, held in Dublin, Ireland. Sveriges Television continued to use the Melodifestivalen contest to select the Swedish entry. Before Eurovision Melodifestivalen 1994 Melodifestivalen 1994 was the selection for the 34th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 33rd time that this system of picking a song had been used. 1,560 songs were submitted to SVT for the competition. The final was held in the SVT Studios in Stockholm on 12 March 1994, presented by Kattis Ahlström and Sven Melander and was broadcast on TV1 and Sveriges Radio's P3 and P4 networks.
