Scranton High School is an urban high school located in Lackawanna County, Scranton, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the Scranton School District. It enrolled 1,792 ninth through twelfth grade students in 2010. It is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. The school offers honors and advanced classes for motivated students. Regular classes are aimed at a wide range of students with different academic abilities. The school provides ESL (English as a Second Language) and development courses for students. The school is designated as a Title I school wide institution. Cy Endfield
Cyril Raker Endfield (November 10, 1914 – April 16, 1995) was an American screenwriter, director, author, magician and inventor. Having been named as a Communist at a House Un-American Activities Committee hearing and subsequently blacklisted, he moved to the United Kingdom in 1953, where he spent the remainder of his career. Early life Endfield was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to a Jewish immigrant father whose business was hit hard by the Great Depression. He attended Yale University. Career in the U.S. Endfield began his career as a theatre director and drama coach, becoming a significant figure in New York's progressive theatre scene. William V. Lazor (born June 14, 1972) is an American football coach of the National Football League (NFL). Lazor has previously served as the quarterbacks coach for the Washington Redskins, Seattle Seahawks, and Philadelphia Eagles. Joe O'Malley
Joseph Patrick O'Malley (January 1, 1932 – March 20, 2015) was an American football defensive end who played two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round of the 1955 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Georgia. Early years O'Malley played high school football at Scranton Technical High School in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Mike Munchak
Michael Anthony Munchak (born March 5, 1960) is an American professional football coach and former player. A graduate of Penn State, Munchak played left guard for the Houston Oilers from 1982 until 1993 and was a nine-time selection to the Pro Bowl. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001. After his retirement, Munchak continued his association with the Houston franchise by becoming an assistant coach. He joined the staff in 1994 as an offensive assistant and quality control coach and stayed with the franchise after it moved to Tennessee and became known as the Tennessee Titans, eventually becoming its offensive line coach in 1997 and serving in that position for 14 years. Joseph Edward McCarthy Jr. (born February 23, 1994) is an American professional baseball left fielder and first baseman in the Texas Rangers (baseball), Texas Rangers organization.
