Scottish Fashion Awards
The Scottish Fashion Awards was an annual awards ceremony honouring Scottish designers, photographers, models and fashion industry leaders. Founded in 2006, the event organiser was Tessa Hartmann, owner of a Scottish-based PR firm to promote her clients and their friends. Their mission is "...to provide an outstanding platform for Scottish creatives, from designers and photographers, to models, fashion communicators and industry leaders." Awards events 2006 The inaugural event was held at Stirling Castle with GMTV presenter Jenni Falconer acting as emcee. Entertainment was provided by Sandi Thom and electric fiddle player Laura McPhee. David Eustace
David Eustace (born 23 November 1961) is an international artist and director, primarily known for his portrait photography. He has worked on campaigns for clients worldwide and travelled extensively. His photographic works are included in several collection, both private and public including the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Glasgow Museum of Modern Art., Deutsche Bank Collection and The City of Edinburgh Art Collection. Early life Eustace was raised in Riddrie in the East End of Glasgow, and left school aged sixteen. Undertaking a variety of jobs, Eustace joined the Royal Naval Reserve / HMS Graham, serving on a minesweeper. He left the Navy at 21 and became a prison officer at HM Prison Barlinnie. Glasgow Science Centre
Glasgow Science Centre is a visitor attraction located in the Clyde Waterfront Regeneration area on the south bank of the River Clyde in Glasgow, Scotland. Queen Elizabeth II opened Glasgow Science Centre on 5 July 2001. It is one of Scotland's most popular paid-for visitor attractions. It is a purpose-built science centre composed of three principal buildings: Science Mall, Glasgow Tower and an IMAX cinema. It is a registered charity under Scottish law. The Scottish tourist board, VisitScotland, awarded Glasgow Science Centre a five star rating in the visitor attraction category. Sir Paul Brierley Smith (born 5 July 1946) is a British fashion designer. His reputation is founded on his designs for men's clothing, but his business has expanded into other areas as well. Smith was made a Royal Designer for Industry in 1991. Nick Ede is a Scottish public relations, popular culture expert and television presenter. He runs the London-based PR agency East of Eden and he lives in Hackney. Ultimo was a Glasgow-headquartered designer lingerie brand, majority owned by Sri Lanka-based lingerie group MAS Holdings. It was founded in 1996 by Michelle Mone (now Baroness Mone), via her company MJM International Ltd., with her ex-husband Michael. Holly Fulton (born 1977) is a London-based fashion designer who set up her eponymous fashion label in 2009. Known for bold graphic and 3D motifs, innovative use of textiles and distinctive accessories, she has been described as the "queen of prints". Pam Hogg (4 January) is a Scottish fashion designer who launched her first fashion collection in 1981. She has created clothes for the likes of Ian Astbury of The Cult, Paula Yates, Marie Helvin, Siouxsie Sioux and Debbie Harry of Blondie. Early life She was born in Paisley, near Glasgow, Scotland.
