Scott Shriner
Scott Gardner Shriner (born July 11, 1965) is an American musician best known as a member of the rock band Weezer, with whom he has recorded twelve studio albums. Joining the band in 2001, Shriner is the band's longest serving bass guitarist. Prior to his musical career, Shriner was a member of the Marine Corps. At the age of twenty-five, he moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in music, attending the Musicians Institute. Shriner subsequently performed with multiple independent acts, and toured as a member of Vanilla Ice's backing band, in support of the rapper's nu metal album ''Hard to Swallow''. In 2001, Shriner joined Weezer on a provisional basis, following the sudden departure of bass guitarist Mikey Welsh, who had left the band due to personal reasons. Upon becoming Welsh's full-time replacement, Shriner made his recording debut on the band's fourth studio album, ''Maladroit'' (2002). Toledo ( ) is a city in and the county seat of Lucas County, Ohio, United States. ''Make Believe'' is the fifth studio album by American rock band Weezer. It was released on May 10, 2005, by Geffen Records. The album was considered to be a return to some of the emotionally vulnerable lyrics of Weezer's previous releases, and due to the strength of the hit single "Beverly Hills", the album was a commercial success, peaking at number two on the US ''Billboard'' 200 and number eleven on the UK Albums Chart. "Creep" is the debut single by the English rock band Radiohead, released on 21 September 1992. It appeared on their debut studio album, ''Pablo Honey'' (1993). Thom Yorke's lyrics express an obsessive, self-destructive sexual attraction. When the song moves to the chorus, Jonny Greenwood produces blasts of guitar noise. Radiohead took elements from the 1974 song "The Air That I Breathe"; following legal action, Albert Hammond and Mike Hazlewood are credited as cowriters. Radiohead had not planned to release "Creep", and recorded it at the suggestion of the producers, Sean Slade and Paul Q. Kolderie, while they were working on other songs. "Dope Nose" is a song by American rock band Weezer. It is the first single off the band's fourth album, ''Maladroit''. It was officially released in March 2002, though it had been performed live and in the studio during the band's 2000 summer tour comeback after hiatus. Frontman Rivers Cuomo wrote the song on the same night he wrote "Hash Pipe", after drinking three shots of tequila and a Ritalin. "Dope Nose" is one of the songs playable in the PlayStation 2 video game ''Amplitude'', developed by Harmonix. An interview in Electronic Gaming Monthly with the creators of the PlayStation 2 game ''Guitar Hero'' (also developed by Harmonix) mentioned the game's early builds were based on "Dope Nose". Weezer is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1992.
