Scott Melton
Scott Melton (born November 30, 1961) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 69 Ford Mustang for Kimmel Racing. Racing career ARCA Menards Series Melton would begin racing in 2018, driving 4 Cylinder races at Springport Speedway. He decided to race in the ARCA Menards Series, after having talks with Bill Kimmel, the owner of Kimmel Racing. He finished 15th in his first start at Berlin Raceway, and followed with a 25th-place finish at the Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. He would run half of the season in 2019, earning two top tens, with his best career finish being 9th at Michigan International Speedway, and finishing 15th in the point standings. 2020 would be his breakout season, earning three top tens, with his best finish of 9th at Kansas Speedway. Champion Racing Association (CRA) is a stock car racing sanctioning body based in the Midwestern United States. It was founded in 1997 by Glenn Luckett and R. J. Scott, who then sold the company to Bob Sargent's Track Enterprises in 2022. All CRA cars use Hoosier Racing Tire, Hoosier tires and Sunoco fuel. Kansas Speedway
Kansas Speedway is a tri-oval race track in the Village West area near Kansas City, Kansas, United States. It was built in 2001 and it currently hosts two annual NASCAR race weekends. The IndyCar Series also held races at the venue until 2011. The speedway is owned and operated by NASCAR. History International Speedway Corporation began exploring the idea of building a racing facility in the midwest in 1996. Attention was turned towards the Kansas City area in 1997. Officials considered both the Missouri and Kansas side of the city but eventually settled with the Kansas side because of better funding. Various ARCA Menards Series races have been held at Toledo Speedway since 1953. Prior to 2020, these races were part of the ARCA Menards Series schedule for decades before a planned move to the ARCA Menards Series East schedule after the unification of NASCAR's East and West Series with the ARCA Menards Series, with the East race to be known as the Herr's Potato Chips 200. The Music City 200 is a annual ARCA Menards Series East race held at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Tennessee. The event has been part of the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series East (previously the NASCAR Busch and Camping World East Series) schedules and has come and gone from both throughout its history.
