Scott McLaughlin (footballer)
Scott Bonner McLaughlin (born 20 January 1984 in Glasgow) is a Scottish former professional association footballer, who plays for Doncaster City. McLaughlin has previously played for Hamilton Academical, Livingston, Greenock Morton, Airdrie United, Ayr United (two spells), Queen of the South, Peterhead, Clyde, Albion Rovers, Edusport Academy and Stenhousemuir. Career McLaughlin started his career at Hamilton Academical. McLaughlin had one substitute appearance and one start, versus Cowdenbeath before leaving at the end of the 2001–02 season. McLaughlin played a reasonable number of games at Livingston, where in the 2004 Scottish League Cup Final he appeared in the 80th minute as a substitute at right back versus Hibernian. The 2001–02 season was the 105th season of competitive football in Scotland. Key events Celtic, domestic treble winners a year earlier, retain their Premier League title. After failing to win anything the previous season, Rangers won the Scottish Cup and League Cup under their new manager Alex McLeish. Airdrieonians, who narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League as First Division runners-up, went out of business of 1 May with debts of nearly £3million. Scottish Football League Second Division
The Scottish Football League Second Division was the third tier of the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The Second Division was created in 1975, as part of a wider reconstruction of the Scottish Football League (SFL). Prior to 1975, the SFL had been split into two divisions (Division One and Division Two). The effect of the reconstruction was to split these two divisions into three, with the top flight named the Premier Division, second tier the First Division, and a new third tier was created known as the Second Division. A fourth tier, known as the Third Division, was created in 1994. In 1998, the Premier Division clubs broke away from the SFL to form the Scottish Premier League (SPL). The 2005–06 Scottish Challenge Cup was the 15th season of the competition, competed for by all 30 members of the Scottish Football League. The defending champions were Falkirk, who defeated Ross County 2–1 in the 2004 final. Falkirk did not compete in the tournament after being promoted to the Scottish Premier League. The final was played on 6 November 2005 and was won by St Mirren who defeated Hamilton Academical 2–1 in the final at Excelsior Stadium in Airdrie. Paul Lambert
Paul Lambert (born 7 August 1969) is a Scottish professional football manager and former player, who was most recently the manager of Ipswich Town. Lambert played as a midfielder and won the Scottish Cup in 1987 with St Mirren as a 17-year-old, the UEFA Champions League with Borussia Dortmund and all the Scottish domestic honours with Celtic. In his international career, Lambert earned 40 caps for Scotland and played in the 1998 FIFA World Cup finals. Lambert achieved success managing in England's lower divisions and guided Norwich City into English football's Premier League with successive promotions in 2009–10 and 2010–11. James Reynolds McAllister (born 26 April 1978 in Glasgow) is a Scottish professional football coach and former player, who is currently an assistant manager at Hibernian. McAllister played as a defender. McAllister played for Queen of the South, Aberdeen, Livingston, Heart of Midlothian, Bristol City, Preston North End, Yeovil Town, Kerala Blasters and Exeter City.
