Scott Hillman
Scott Hillman (born April 29, 1974) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey defenceman. He was most recently the head coach of Frisk Asker in Norway’s Top Men’s Professional Hockey League Career Player Hillman was born in LaSalle, Ontario. After playing hockey in college for the University of Windsor, Hillman played professionally for the Toledo Storm of the ECHL, the Odessa Jackalopes of the Western Professional Hockey League and Central Hockey League, EV Duisburg of Oberliga, and the El Paso Buzzards of the Western Professional Hockey League. He also played roller hockey for the Buffalo Wings of both Roller Hockey International and Major League Roller Hockey. ECHL
The ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League) is a mid-level professional ice hockey league based in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, with teams scattered across the United States and Canada. It is a tier below the American Hockey League (AHL). The ECHL and the AHL are the only minor leagues recognized by the collective bargaining agreement between the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players' Association, meaning any player signed to an entry-level NHL contract and designated for assignment must report to a club in either the ECHL or the AHL. Additionally, the league's players are represented by the Professional Hockey Players' Association in negotiations with the ECHL itself. The 2010–11 CHL season was the 19th season of the Central Hockey League (CHL). League business Team foldings The Amarillo Gorillas and the Corpus Christi IceRays folded and both were replaced by a North American Hockey League team. Indy Fuel
The Indy Fuel are a minor league ice hockey team in the ECHL that began play in the 2014–15 season. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Fuel play their home games at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum on the Indiana State Fairgrounds. They are affiliated with the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs. History On November 11, 2013, the ECHL's board of governors approved the expansion membership application of the Indy Fuel for admission to the league for the 2014–15 season. On October 17, 2014, the Fuel played their franchise opening game against the Fort Wayne Komets, reigniting the Indianapolis and Fort Wayne rivalry after 15 years in a 4–5 defeat. Missouri Mavericks
The Kansas City Mavericks are an ice hockey team in the ECHL. Founded in 2009 as the Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League, CHL, the team plays in Independence, Missouri, a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri, at the Cable Dahmer Arena. The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) is a professional ice hockey independent minor league based in Huntersville, North Carolina, with teams located primarily in the southeastern United States as well as Illinois and Indiana in the midwestern United States. The Knoxville Ice Bears are a professional ice hockey team. The team competes in the Southern Professional Hockey League. They play their home games at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Ice Bears have made the playoffs in every season of their existence.
