Scott Fuglistaller
Scott Anthony Hans Fuglistaller (born 16 April 1987) is a New Zealand rugby union professional footballer. He plays for, and captains, the Melbourne Rebels in Super Rugby and the Melbourne Rising in the National Rugby Championship. His regular playing position is openside flanker. Early career He played first XV rugby for Francis Douglas Memorial College in New Plymouth, and club rugby in Wellington. Super Rugby In New Zealand, Fuglistaller represented the Highlanders and made his debut in 2012. In 2011 and 2012, Fuglistaller did not play. Like many, he viewed the Rebels defence as lacking. However, in 2013 he was among the squad's fit young recruits expected to bring a hard edge to the Rebels defence and attack. 2011 Super Rugby Season
The 2011 Super Rugby season was the first season of the new 15-team format for the Super Rugby competition, which involved teams from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Including its past iterations as Super 12 and Super 14, this was the 16th season for the Southern Hemisphere's premier transnational club competition. The season kicked off in February 2011, with pre-season matches held from mid-January. Fairfax Media was a media company in Australia and New Zealand, with investments in newspaper, magazines, radio and digital properties. Scott Higginbotham
Scott Higginbotham (born 5 September 1986) is a retired Australian rugby union player. Capped 32 times for Australia's national team, the Wallabies, Higginbotham's usual positions are blindside flanker and number eight. Higginbotham currently holds the record for highest try-scoring forward in Super Rugby history. Early life Higginbotham was educated at The Southport School, on the Gold Coast, Queensland. His mother was born in Fiji and is part- Fijian, which made him eligible to play internationally for Fiji, something which Higginbotham contemplated before being accepted into the Wallabies. 2016 Super Rugby Season
The 2016 Super Rugby season was the 21st season of Super Rugby and the first season featuring an expanded 18-team format. It was also the first season that teams outside Australia, New Zealand and South Africa featured, with the Jaguares from Argentina and the Sunwolves from Japan taking part. This season also saw the return of the Kings, who competed just once before, in the 2013 Super Rugby season. The round-robin games took place every weekend from 26 February to 16 July 2016 (with a break for international matches during June), followed by the finals series at the end of July and culminating in the final on 6 August. Sean McMahon (born 18 June 1994) is an Australian rugby union player for Suntory Sungoliath in the Japanese Top League. His regular playing position is Flanker. Career McMahon was born and raised in Brisbane and took his first steps in senior rugby with GPS in the Queensland Premier Rugby competition. He played in the side which was runner-up in the 2013 competition and featured alongside future Rebels team-mates Colby Faingaa and Bryce Hegarty. David Pocock
David Willmer Pocock (born 23 April 1988) is an Australian politician and former professional rugby union player. Raised in Gweru, Zimbabwe, Pocock moved to Australia as a teenager and played for the Australia national rugby team. He played primarily at openside flanker, and was vice captain of the Brumbies in Super Rugby. After his retirement, Pocock worked as a conservationist and social justice advocate. The ACT Brumbies (known from 2005–2022 as simply the Brumbies) is an Australian professional rugby union team based in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT), The team competes in Super Rugby and named for the brumby, feral horses which inhabit the capital's hinterland. Western Force
The Western Force is an Australian professional rugby union team based in Perth, Western Australia, currently competing in Super Rugby Pacific. They previously played in Super Rugby from 2006 until they were axed from the competition in 2017. Following their axing they played in the National Rugby Championship in 2018 and 2019, replacing the Perth Spirit, and Global Rapid Rugby from 2018 to 2020, an Indo-Pacific competition organised by Andrew Forrest.
