Scott Durant
Scott David Durant (born 12 February 1988) is a British rower and gold medallist in the Men's Eight at the 2016 Olympic Summer Games. Rowing career Durant started his rowing career at Lancaster Royal Grammar School (LRGS). He competed at the 2014 World Rowing Championships in Bosbaan, Amsterdam, where he won a silver medal as part of the coxed pair with Alan Sinclair and Henry Fieldman. The following year he was part of the British team that topped the medal table at the 2015 World Rowing Championships at Lac d'Aiguebelette in France, where he won a bronze medal as part of the coxless four with Alan Sinclair, Tom Ransley and Stewart Innes. He competed in the 2015 European Rowing Championships in Poznań winning a gold medal. The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service. Paul Bennett (born 16 December 1988) is a British rower and Olympic gold medallist. Rowing career Bennett won the Boat Race in 2013 sitting at five for Oxford. Pete Reed
Peter K. Reed OBE (born 27 July 1981) is a retired British Olympic rower. Reed is a three-times Olympic gold medallist – earning gold in the Men's coxless four at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics, and then a gold medal in the Men's eight at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He has won five gold medals and three silver medals at the World Championships. Background and military career Reed was born in Seattle, Washington, US but his family moved to England several months later. He was brought up in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire and attended Cirencester Deer Park School, and later Cirencester College for his A-levels. Andrew Triggs Hodge
Andrew Triggs Hodge (born 3 March 1979) is a British former rower - a three time Olympic champion and four time world champion. In the British coxless four in 2012 he set a world's best time which still stood as of 2021. Education Born in Halton, Buckinghamshire, he moved to Hebden near Grassington in 1980. He went to Burnsall Primary School in Burnsall then Upper Wharfedale School, a secondary modern school in Threshfield. He then completed sixth form at South Craven School, a secondary school near Skipton. The men's eight competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro took place at the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. It was held from 8 to 13 August. Stewart Innes (born 20 May 1991) is a retired British rower. Career Innes took up rowing as a pupil at St Edward's School, Oxford and later competed for Durham University as an undergraduate, and for Reading University as a postgraduate. He was part of the British team that topped the medal table at the 2015 World Rowing Championships at Lac d'Aiguebelette in France, where he won a bronze medal as part of the coxless four with Scott Durant, Alan Sinclair and Tom Ransley. Thomas Matthew Ransley (born 6 September 1985) is a retired British Rowing (sport), rower. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro he was part of the British crew that won the gold medal in the Rowing at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's eight, eight, was twice a World Champion and in 2015 was the European Champion in the men's coxless four. Lac d'Aiguebelette is a natural lake in the commune of Aiguebelette-le-Lac, within the department of Savoie, France.
