Scott Bolzan
Scott Louis Bolzan (born July 25, 1962) is an American author, entrepreneur, and former NFL and USFL football player. In December 2008, he incurred a brain injury which he claims has left him with profound retrograde amnesia. Scott, along with Joan Bolzan and Caitlin Rother, has written a book titled ''My Life: Deleted'', which was published by HarperCollins on October 4, 2011. Early life and football career Scott Bolzan attended Northern Illinois University from 1980 to 1984 on a full athletic scholarship; there, he played football for the Northern Illinois Huskies. Bolzan was drafted in May 1984 by the New England Patriots in the 9th round. He was waived by the Patriots in August of that year. He went on to play for the Memphis Showboats in the USFL in 1985. Afterwards, Bolzan was picked up by the Cleveland Browns in May 1985 and later waived in September 1985. He was re-signed later in the month and cut in October. Waivers (American Football)
Waivers are a National Football League (NFL) labor management procedure by which a team makes an American football player's contract or NFL rights (such as NFL draft rights to an unsigned player) available to all other teams. During the season (starting July 4 and lasting through the regular season), each team has 24 hours to file a claim for a player that another team has made available through the system or waive the right to do so. During the off season each team has several days to file such claims. Claiming teams are assigned the rights to or contracts via a priority system based on inverse order of record. Players that clear waivers, meaning they pass through the waiver period unclaimed, become free agents. Waiver claims are irrevocable. ''The Daily Record'' is an American daily newspaper published in Ellensburg, Washington. The ''Record'' is published four days a week with an afternoon edition each Tuesday through Thursday and a weekend edition is delivered on Saturday mornings. The paper's current estimated circulation is 6,000 copies per day. This newspaper is a successor to the ''Kittitas County Localizer'', first published on July 12, 1883.
