Scott Bailey (ice Hockey)
Scott A. Bailey (born May 2, 1972) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who played 19 games in the National Hockey League for the Boston Bruins between 1995 and 1997. Bailey was drafted 112th overall by the Bruins in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft and spent most of his career in the American Hockey League with the Providence Bruins. Playing career Bailey played major junior with the Moose Jaw Warriors and Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League. He was selected 112th overall in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins. Bailey played several years with the Bruins minor league affiliates in the American Hockey League and ECHL, and made his NHL debut on November 16, 1995 against the New Jersey Devils. He played 11 games for the Bruins during the 1995–96 season, and a further 8 games in the 1996–97 season. Scott Michael Bailey (born December 16, 1978) is an American actor. He is known for playing the character of Sandy Foster on the CBS soap opera ''Guiding Light'', the character of Roman Martin on the MyNetworkTV limited-run serial '' Saints & Sinners'' and the character of Greg Cooper in an episode of the TV series '' Femme Fatales''. Background Bailey was born in Florissant, Missouri. He spent seven years of his childhood residing in Europe. Due to having lived in Europe, Bailey is fluent in German, Spanish (and sign language). He has an elder sister, Lisa and his mother worked as an Army nurse for the Government. He earned a degree in mechanical engineering from New Mexico State University where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and was an ASNMSU (Associated Students of New Mexico State university) senator. Scott Bailey (curler)
Scott Bailey (born March 12, 1970) is a Canadian curler. He is best known however for being the long-time lead for Wayne Middaugh. It was with Middaugh that Bailey won the 1998 Ford World Curling Championships. Bailey was a member of the Middaugh rink from 1994 to 2010, when Middaugh left the Russ Howard rink. During this period, the Middaugh rink won three provincial championships (1998, 2001 and 2005), in addition to winning the 1998 Labatt Brier and 1998 World Championships. Bailey played for the John Epping rink from 2010 to 2014. Scott Bailey (bishop)
Scott Field Bailey (October 7, 1916 – April 9, 2005) was the 6th diocesan bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas in the Episcopal Church. Early life and education Bailey was born on October 7, 1916, in Houston, Texas, the son of William Stuart Bailey and Tallulah Prince Smith. He received his BA degree in 1938 from Rice University, after which he attended law school at the University of Texas and then the Virginia Theological Seminary, obtaining his Master in Divinity degree in 1942. In 1953 he received the Master of Sacred Theology degree from the University of the South. Later Doctor of Divinity degrees were conferred upon him by the Virginia Seminary, the University of the South, and the Seminary of the Southwest. Career Bailey was ordained a deacon in March 1942 and priest in December 1942 by Bishop Clinton S. Quin, 3rd Bishop of Texas. Arthur Scott Bailey
Arthur Scott Bailey (November 16, 1877 – October 17, 1949) was an American writer. He was the author of more than forty children's books. He was born in St. Albans, Vermont, United States, the second child of Winfield Scott Bailey and Harriet Sarah Goodhue (a girl, Ellen was born in 1876). Winfield Bailey owned a dry goods shop that was stated to be "one of the most reputable of St. Albans mercantile concerns" and specialized in furs; namely ladies' fur coats, muffs and scarves. Bailey attended St. Albans Academy and graduated in 1896, in a class of only eleven other students. He then went on to the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont, where he became involved in a fraternal organization, Sigma Phi (with which he was very active through at least 1915; he joined the organization's Catalogue Committee in 1914 as a vice chairman, after the resignation of Dr. Alexander Duane). Nathan Bailey
Nathan Bailey (died 27 June 1742), was an English philologist and lexicographer. He was the author of several dictionaries, including his '' Universal Etymological Dictionary'', which appeared in some 30 editions between 1721 and 1802. Bailey's ''Dictionarium Britannicum'' (1730 and 1736) was the primary resource mined by Samuel Johnson for his ''Dictionary of the English Language'' (1755). Life Bailey was a Seventh Day Baptist, admitted 1691 to a congregation in Whitechapel, London. He was probably excluded from the congregation by 1718. Later he had a school at Stepney. William Thomas Whitley attributes to him a degree of LL.D. Works Bailey, with John Kersey the younger, was a pioneer of English lexicography, and changed the scope of dictionaries of the language.
